Nested in Uphams Corner, Dorchester, we're a lively and intimate 30-seat restaurant serving brunch on the weekend and dinner at night with a full bar and outdoor patio. Our food is a celebration of the ingredients and flavors of the African diaspora connected from Asia to the Americas — global comfort food. We are proudly Black-owned, immigrant-owned, and women-owned. We believe that food is a vital aspect of community building and we envision a place that is actively engaged in highlighting the culture, art, and history of our community.

- Patio dining: patio reservations are weather-dependent and may be canceled due to inclement weather. Our patios are partially covered protecting from light to moderate rain and light wind.

- Timing: dinner's last seating is at 8:45pm and brunch's last seating is at 1:30pm. Your table is reserved for 90 mins for parties of 1-5 guests and 2 hrs for parties of 6+ guests.

Van de OpenTable-redactie: Het interculturele menu van deze parel in Dorchester is uniek in de regio. Het heeft dan ook een vijfsterrenrecensie gekregen in de Boston Globe. Bovendien riep Boston Magazine dit restaurant uit tot beste nieuwe restaurant van 2023. Het restaurant, geleid door managing partner Biplaw Rai en chef partner Kwasi Kwaa, is een eerbetoon aan de bijdrage van immigranten aan dit land. In de gerechten staan ingrediënten en smaken van de Afrikaanse diaspora centraal. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan West-Afrikaans suya-rundvlees met gekarameliseerde uien en pittige Ghanese bakbananen, kelewele.                                       A very nice place with innovative fusion dishes. A beckon of foodie culture located in one of the most culturally diverse neighbourhood of Boston, Dorchester. Must try for all who crave good food in New England. Book in advance since the place is rather small. In summer there is additional seating on the patio.

                                      Flavors out of this world! Meat fall right off the bone good, my husband is usually a picky eater and he licked his plate clean. Definitely will come again to experience the outdoor patio in the warmer weather!

                                      We appreciate having a new dining option in the neighborhood, our first visit left us with mixed feelings. The jerk duck delivered impressive flavors but disappointed with its modest portion size. Unfortunately, the beef short rib was very dry along with the yucca. The breadfruit sliders were delicious. Despite these initial hiccups, we will return in the future.

                                      Great food! Best Steak & Egg in the city super flavorful plate Pork dumplings are a must and the CK Hot sauce is super hot!! Wash it down with a cocktail it wont disappoint!

                                      Amazing food and very good flavors! I will say the appetizers were rather small for the price. We got the okra and it was so good but there was probably less than 10 pieces and they weren't even big. The jackfruit sliders were fantastic and delicious but again, pretty small and the buns were dry. They should butter and toast the buns or use a different type of bun that's more moist. The jerk duck was perfect, no notes. My vegetarian boyfriend loved his mushroom dish. Our drinks were phenomenal. The ambience could be better, the lights were a bit too bright in my opinion. The space was really small so I think they didn't want to overdo it with the decorations but I think a few touches here and there to make the space less blank would be beneficial. The space lacked some coziness. But truly overall, great experience!

                                      Absolutely incredible food. Boston's food scene is terrible, but this place is amazing. I've tried a bunch of Boston's best restaurants, and this one tops my list. You can really tell that the owners and staff put so much care and attention into the menu, the service, and the experience as a whole. I'll be back for both dinner and brunch!
