Overall the service and food was good.But the quantities were small considering the cost. Our friend ordered scallops as a starter and GOT ONE. Hefty price for a single piece The waiting staff were attentive and friendly. . The toilets were down many stairs. Very inconvenient for a person with mobility problems. Not even a lift that went down. There was a disabled WC upstairs near the bar. But once agin there were stairs to negotiate. Could be one ofEdinburgh’s best restaurants if these reviews were heeded and quantities increased and prices reviewed accordingly.

The restaurant has a cozy yet trendy vibe. The food was delicious and we did not feel rushed at all. I really enjoyed the ambiance. There was a great variety of options on the menu

We had an exceptional meal tonight, we were sat at the chefs table which was a treat! We enjoyed seeing the kitchen in action and all the delicious dishes going out. The decor and ambiance was perfect! Two of our party had the beef Wellington and two of us had the pork, we weren’t disappointed with our choices. Everything we had off the menu was excellently curated by the chef, the flavours were devine. We have had some great meals in Edinburgh but this was by far the best, look forward to coming back again. All staff we extremely attentive and made our experience even better.

Amazing food and service. Place is very nicely done, deco is unique.i would definitely recommend it We had beef tartare, pie and pork tomahawk.

We visited on Saturday 26 October to have a birthday dinner for my daughter. It’s a lovely place and staff are very welcoming and accommodating, with a hint of charm and charismatic humour. We did have to send our food back as it was not hot, sides served in little skillets you would expect these to be at least hot but they weren’t, we ordered the chicken and that was look warm, which was very disappointing. Although this was addressed it wasn’t what we expected given the reviews and meant a long wait for our replacement dishes to arrive. I was also over charged for the bottle of wine we ordered, which wasn’t realised until I got home. After all the time waiting for a second hot meal to arrive the restaurant still thought it was appropriate to add a service charge to my bill. Maybe I should have charged them for the inconvenience and waiting time it took.

Excellent dining option overall. Nice venue, food was great (tuna, burrata, cote de bœuf), service was outstanding. Limited options for wine by the glass but my Merlot was ok and the house champagne excellent.

The restaurant was gorgeous. It was a little weird as I arrived at 5:30 and was the only person for the duration of my dining experience. The food was amazing and would definitely recommend. My only issue was when I finished my dinner I waited 28 minutes for any staff to come around so I could ask for the bill.
