Our party of four had an overall good experience at Cooper’s Hawk in Richmond VA. We visited on a busy Saturday evening in December, so the place was packed. We had a reservation and were seated on time but, it took a little while to be greeted by our server after we were seated, and the time between follow-up visits to take our appetizer and dinner orders seemed long. Our server was very personable but her ability to give us the right amount of attention was probably because of the package house. Fortunately, we hadn't seen our friends in over 6 months and were so busy catching up, that the lack of attention wasn't that bothersome except for having a hard time getting drinks refilled and old dishes cleared between courses. There seemed to be other "staff" just standing or wandering around that could have helped our server on such a busy night, but they did not. As for the food, we had brussel sprout and flatbread appetizers, and short rib, butternut squash gnocchi, spaghetti and chicken sandwich entrees that were all very good. Our experience was on the expensive side but, because we had good food and a good time catching up with friends, we had an overall good experience. We will go back to Cooper's Hawk but, because of the price, probably just for a special occasion and not for a random casual meal.

Food was delicious. Service was a little slow. Best to determine quickly what you want to order because if they have to come back, you might wait a while. All said though, we will be back!

First time at Cooper's Hawk and it was very enjoyable. From the restaurant experience to wine tasting the staff was very pleasant and welcoming. When back in the area, will be back.

Sean D was an amazing server and made my party (with the birthday gal) feel special. We enjoyed wonderful food and finished with an espresso martini. Highly recommend this restaurant and server. Highly recommend the Caesar salad! And I’m a meat lover

The service was amazing! The food was good but we have had better at previous visits. Our wedge salad did not seem fresh and the flat bread seemed to have been sitting for a bit before serving. My soup was a bit cold.
