Brought to you by Award Winning Chef Michael Chiarello and located at Pier 5 on the bustling San Francisco Waterfront, Coqueta is inspired by the cuisines of Spain. Chef Chiarello feels that Spain’s signature ‘small plates’ coupled with the social vibrancy of their dining scene is the perfect combination for San Francisco, which has its own deep-rooted history with the country. Focusing on regional dishes from Madrid, Catalonia, the Basque Country and beyond, the menu will feature Chiarello's interpretation of traditional Spanish cuisine and, as has always been his tradition, will highlight the bounty of fresh, local ingredients from land and sea.

Coqueta means “flirt” or “infatuation” in Spanish, and represents Michael Chiarello and his team’s exploration and interpretation of Spanish Cuisine, wine and inspired cocktails, while highlighting the bounty of Northern California.

    If I could rate a place 5+ stars, COQUETA would be the place to get that ranking. Every. Single. Tapas. Dish. We. Had. Was. Astoundingly. Good. From the Bocadillo La Casa “Bikini” to the Patatas Bravas to the Calabacines a la Brasa... this is one of the very few places that was SO good, we ordered more after that initial trio just to experience more of the menu. Drink-wise, the cocktails are some of the best I've had in the city - creative, delicious, beautifully presented, and memorable. This entire dining experience is one I won't forget. Thank you!

    We had a lovely holiday lunch there with my team of three. Was fun to try all the tapas. Our favorites were the croquetas, gambas, tuna tartare and patatas bravas. The sangria (with brandy) was amazing and kind of sneaks up on you! Great ambience, friendly service. Will be back!

    Great food and atmosphere. Expected a dessert on behalf of our birthday celebration to no avail. Will consider other restaurants for birthday’s.

    Ordered paella and seafood was over cooked and the dish wash dried. Like they put everything together into an oven and reheated. Extremely disappointed. Brought it up to the waiter but didn’t seem too concerned. For $69 I expected a savory Paella.

    The new way that Pan Con Tomate is served is meh and not nearly as good as it used to be when there was grilled bread served, a little jar of the “tomato spread”, and the coarse sea salt. Having the tomato spread come out already on the bread soggy, especially when the bread is not grilled.

    Excellent food excellent service. We went to Coqueta for an early lunch for the holidays. Everything was delicious. We had too many tapas to name but all were amazing. The churros were also great. Definitely will be back.
