Cork & Gabel, a restaurant fusion of Irish, Italian, and German cuisine, opened in 2018 in Detroit's Corktown district. We are known for our use of modern techniques on old school classics. European comfort food is a staple at Cork & Gabel. We pride ourselves on being a scratch kitchen, sourcing and using Michigan vendors including farmers and small business. Fresh is key when it comes to providing a great experience and we make everything we can fresh and in house.

Never disappoints. We frequent often on the weekends for the brunch menu with the family. The vibe is always on point. Parking is easy. Food is delicious! They have something for everyone. I personally love the corned beef hash. Drinks are great. Staff is amazing! They have a great leader and it shows.

Loved the relaxed atmosphere & view of the train station. Food was better than average, however 3/5 of us ordered eggs Benedict & the poached eggs were all solid instead of runny as typical thus lacking in sauce. The rest of the flavors were great though & the extra béarnaise sauce that the waitress brought helped a bit. Overall, we still enjoyed it & will give it another try

One star deducted from being out of schnitzel on a Sunday morning. We did have a problem with the 4 guests in our group trying to get up on the high chairs, but eventually everyone got seated. I asked to move to a normal table and the staff was I think going to accommodate, but after some complaining by the elders they didn’t want to move after they got up on the chairs.

Our first tour of the iconic train station was followed by an iconic evening at Cork and Gabel. It was a lovely win-win. From the hostess, to the bartender to the the waitress and the team assisting them, we are verklempt! Keep up the kind, selfless, thoughtful work delivering delicious, hearty food💞

We had a good time at Cork and Gabel. Good food and ambience. Our only complaint was the hosts that greeted us. Not very welcoming as not a single smile on either of their faces. This is the second time we have been there and each time, no greeting. It doesn't put you in a very good mood to see greeters so unwelcoming!! What's up with them? How about a smile.

We had a terrific time. Alex was amazing Party of 11 is not easy but he did not seem to care how many of us were in his group. Great evening

This was our first visit to Cork and Gabel, and we enjoyed it. Perhaps the best part was the service. Alex was our server, and he was great! He took a little time to give us some history about the building and then he explained the menu letting us also know what his favorites were. We then enjoyed the quick fried calamari for our appetizer. It was lightly fried and the Arrabiata sauce was very nice. For our main courses I had the Kielbasa and Kraut, and my partner had the fish and chips. Both were tasty and very ample portions as we both went home with doggie bags. For dessert, Alex recommended the Mayflower, and it was heavenly. The only negative thing I have to say about our experience at Cork and Gabel is they should take some time to clean the fabric cushions that were full of stains.
