Introducing Cornus, a rooftop space in Belgravia, the second restaurant from David O’Connor and Joe Mercer-Nairne of the acclaimed Chelsea restaurant, Medlar.

Chef Gary Foulkes will lead the kitchen, joining from the Michelin-starred Angler to offer a regularly changing menu. Foulkes will lead the kitchen, combining his ingredient-led approach with flavours and techniques encountered on his travels around the world. Foulkes will create an à la carte menu of creative, elevated dishes, grounded in the traditional principles and techniques of French cuisine. The menu will showcase the best of the British and European larder. David will lead the Front of House team alongside Wine Director Melania Battiston.

                          Food quality was excellent; the venison cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, the starter & main course portions are very small and very expensive. I did not have dessert.

                          The staff are all friendly but very professional. The head sommelier gave some wonderful wine recommendations. The food was all completely delicious. One point to note is that most of the starters include some shellfish which limited the choice for my wife who is allergic to shellfish. We were served 3 delicious hors d’oeuvres at the start and 3 petit fours after dessert (and offered satsumas at the very end which was a nice festive treat). So quite a bit of extra food too.

                          Excellent food and service. The wine list is really well placed and some interesting wines from further afield. It’s good to see more Greek wines on wine lists, more please! This was our second visit, we enjoyed it immensely, we couldn’t really fault it. It was low keyed but opulent. Service and attitude warm and professional. We highly recommend it and hope they get a well-deserved Michelin star!

                          really nice bright place well designed and nice service. we had the set lunch which was very good and jsut about the right pricing. the larger set menu and the a la carte looked a bit pricey, but will try again for the set lunch.
