Crispin is an all day restaurant & wine bar in Spitalfields serving seasonal sharing plates, low intervention wines & cocktails.

Our chefs are led by the talented Lewis de Haas (ex Petersham Nurseries & The Shed). They deliver a European inspired menu, using locally & sustainably sourced ingredients from independent growers, small-scale farms & producers (think seasonal croquettes, organic British vegetables, sustainable seafood, classic cuts). We also have a natural wine list, bottle shop & wine club curated by our Head of Wine Alexandra Price, where we focus on natural wines using indigenous & rare grape varieties.

The glass & zinc pavilion is located on White’s Row, Spitalfields, on the junction with Crispin Street. We have seating for 40 inside in view of our open-kitchen & 20 on our garden terrace.

Delicious food with a satisfying variety of flavours and Golidilocks portioning to be paired with unique wines and coffee. Your tastebuds will thank you. The staff is friendly and attentive, masters at navigating a tiny kitchen and galley-like dining room set up. A great spot for a nicer meal, bringing friends together for good conversation or when you’re craving a meal guaranteed to satisfy.

Dining alone I was placed on an uncomfortable stool at the bar. It was not very comfortable for a long dinner. I also mentioned it was my birthday on the reservation where they asked if I was celebrating anything. Nothing was done about that. The chef was able to accommodate my allergies which was nice but the menu overall is very limited.

I took my Mum and some relatives for lunch. Whilst the small plates, delivered when they are done, system is not to my (or my guests) liking we worked with the staff who were able to accommodate us in having food in two sessions. There were a few very impressive dishes , although I wasn't too keen on the sweetcorn, big fat mushrooms and sauce accompanying the John Dory, the fish though was excellent. Its a small and cute venue and perfect for a less formal meetup with food and drink.

Disappointing. Menu lacked substance which was then matched by the lack of attention to detail with the service, and the poor execution with the food. Stick to Bar Crispin in Soho
