                                                                            First time at this Buca with a party of 6. Have previously eaten at the Yorkville location and had an amazing meal. Upon arrival (exactly on time) our guests were already seated but no one greeted us and we made our way to the table. I stood there looking around for a coat closet or hook but none of the staff members who saw me offered assistance with my coat. The space is lovely with huge windows overlooking Yonge and St Clair. Our waiter was excellent and very attentive. We ordered a pizza as an appetizer and it was excellent. Among the best I’ve had in the city. Perfect thing crust and well dressed. The mains were just ok. The white ragu was well done and appreciated, as was the risotto. The squash pasta shells were food but simple. Half of my half chicken was overdone and dry. I didn’t finish it as a result. Main complaint on the dishes was that they were very simple, single items with nothing else. My chicken was literally just half a chicken roasted with no other veg or garnishment of any kind. True the menu described this but typically you would get something else on the plate, a sauce or garnishment of some kind to augment the dish. I ordered a side of roast potatoes but this was not enough to make a difference as there was no sauce or anything to accompany the dish. The desserts were excellent, albeit the Tiramisu was non-traditional in taste according to our guests. Overall the experience was ok, but not up to expectations set by our previous Yorkville visits.

                                                                            Nice ambience and friendly service. Wait time for appetizers was quite long while waiting for the main. Some tables were very close so not able to have private conversation. Food was average.

                                                                            Good food but missing a bit creativity for Italian cuisine. Pizza is good and Pulpo was ok. Unfortunately I was there with my son and they put spicy oil on all dishes. He couldn’t enjoy his dinner. Be aware if ordering for kids regular food items on the menu. Otherwise nice location and good service.

                                                                            We had a couple of cocktails that were great, we shared a beet and goat cheese salad that was also great. The veggie pizza/flatbread was saggy and the pasta dish was pretty average.
