Good waiter with recommendations and good food served a little slowly, but they had an ambulance helping a sick patient in the kitchen.

Was recommended this restaurant. Not sure why , very mediocre . Ordered a sparkling water with a glass of ice ,instead of bringing me a glass was given a plastic cup (like I was a child) . Waitress was very loud . Bill came , was 80sum $ . Gave a $100 gift card to pay for it , she comes back and announces loudly “your card was declined “ . So anyone overhearing this would assume it was my credit card. After getting back home called the gift card company and they said it was because the merchant puts a hold of a certain amount of $ . So because of this they tried to charge $101 … one would think the person at the restaurant running the card would know this and accommodate. I was with my partner a man of color and felt very uncomfortable in the dining room , not a welcoming experience at all .

Dinner and service was so great that we came back a second night in a row. The chef came out and chatted to us. Great experience.

Pretty underwhelming. Bar Zin is innovative and consistently good. We expected the same, but we were disappointed by the uninspired menu and wine list. Our waiter was attentive and friendly.
