Midwest Italian restaurant focusing on house made pastas, utilizing vegetables from Chef Joe Frillman’s family farm.

Our bakery and cafe serves La Colombe Coffee alongside an array of pastries and sandwiches crafted by Chef Leigh Omilinksy.

Dinner reservations are available Tuesday - Sunday; we are closed for dinner service on Mondays.
Our cafe operates from 7:00am - 3:00pm every day.
Lunch is available from 11:00am - 2:00pm every day.
We do not take lunch or cafe reservations, it is first come first served.

Please note that there will be a 25% service charge applied to all bills. This goes to pay our staff equitably as well as provide health and other benefits not typically offered in restaurants.

Van de OpenTable-redactie: This Logan Square pasta spot got a fresh start in a spacious home in 2023, after which it nabbed raves from the Chicago Tribune and a MICHELIN Green Star for sustainability. Much of the produce at this Italian-by-way-of-the-Midwest restaurant comes from chef Joe Frillman's brother's farm outside Chicago. Find it in playful dishes like onion dip with housemade Ruffles, fritto misto with cheese curds, and pierogi with mussels and beer.

    Ring in the new year with everyone’s favorite Logan Square neighborhood spot known for its Midwest-inspired, vegetable and pasta-focused dishes, Daisies! This year, join Chef Joe Frillman, Chef de Cuisine Thomas Leonard and Pastry/Dessert wizard Leigh Omilinsky, as they present a three-course menu featuring handcrafted, locally sourced dishes to kick off a new year where everything will be coming up Daisies! For just $75 dollars per person, diners will select from a handful of options for the first two savory courses, as well as a choice of final dessert course, all with vegetarian substitutes if needed. The $20 per person payment will go towards the final bill of $75 per person.

    Excellent meal. Our favorite app was the mushroom toast. All the pastas were fantastic and we topped it off with great pork tenderloin and the butter cake. Great night!

    For a 25% service charge, I definitely expected a decent service. Our server Yazmine was very rude, not very helpful and barely checked on us. She lacked skills and made our overall experience bad. Food and drinks were very good but the service left a bad taste.

    Great for a small group as all dishes are meant to share. Meal is ordered upfront with kitchen directing the pacing, did an excellent job allowing one to linger and enjoy the food without wondering if one had been forgotten. Portions are just right to allow for several dishes be shared among the table. All of the food is excellent from starters to pastas and dessert is not one to be missed! Thoughtful cocktail menu including low and and spirit free options.

    We were seated in the back by the kitchen / it was extremely noisy and we asked to move as we were celebrating a birthday dinner. They were gracious enough to move our party of four and the food was very nice - not outstanding - but nice. When the bill came, the restaurant adds a 25 percent mandatory “service” charge. We were not aware of this - and it was not discretionary. They said there was a sign on the door about this but we did not see this - it was very off putting. They told us it was to help fund the retirement of the staff - it should have been on the menu if this is the case. I have never seen this and have dined at many establishments that are far better. We will not be back as it ruined the experience.

    Food presentation was non existent for the main courses. Staff very attentive but so much so as soon as you put a fork down they were in your face to take a dish even if perhaps you were sharing apps with others and were going to have more. Noise level high and echoing in back room.
