Welcome to Daisy Tasker - our Scottish Bistro situated within Hotel Indigo Dundee and a stone's throw away from the waterfront area.

Our restaurant is a tribute to the heart and spirit of Daisy Tasker, a young mill worker from Dundee. Daisy was much loved for organising social activities for her fellow weavers. We raise a toast in celebration of Scotland’s cuisine, community, and heritage.

Our menus are created to feature Scotland’s best ingredients and celebrate local Dundee suppliers.
From fine Scottish dishes to stunning drinks we serve up memorable moments for everyone.

Daisy Tasker is open 5.30pm - 9.30pm Monday to Friday, and on Saturday & Sunday we are open from 12noon - 9pm, so book your table now.

From the Grill

All our meat is sourced from Dundee’s local, multi-award winning family butcher - Scott Brothers - a traditional family run business started back in 1935. All Scott Brothers meat is ethically sourced and the finest cuts of meat. Their meat on the bone is matured for at least 21 days to make it beautifully tender, whilst their steaks are matured and dry aged for at least 28 days.

Beautifully decorated restaurant, service could not be faulted. The food was very good although the portion size was far too small for the price charged. We had to ask for french fries as still hungry after eating our mains.

Lovely surroundings, comfortable lounge area. Dining room lighting made it difficult for myself and guests to read the menu, we used the torch on our phones! It may have been the location of the seat we chose. My starter was Thai Fishcakes as I am gluten and dairy intolerant my choices were limited. First impression not very appealing, they were ok. I had the Housin choice from the 3 course menu but with rice and I think it was beef but it was grossly overcooked. I then had Sorbet for desert which was as expected. My husband had the same with noodles which he found was far to strongly flavoured . Manager was very helpful and did spend time with me to ensure my choices were suitable but I would go back for drinks but not too sure about eating there again.

This is the second time eating at Daisy Tasker, having also once stayed at the connected hotel. There was a rugby game on and there was a room full of children watching it right next to the table they gave us, but to be fair, the staff warned us of that and said to tell them if it became a problem. There was only 3 people serving, so it was a little difficult getting their attention, however overall the service was good and friendly. The food was very nice and quite a lot to choose from, all 4 of us enjoyed our dinners. Overall a nice experience and I would go back again.

Chicken was overcooked and very dry Desert was good. Service very good, staff all very pleasant. Nice place and ambience, food disappointing.

I had an excellent experience, and the meal was fantastic, the lamb was absolutely delicious, and the haggis Bon Bon’s were great. The staff were extremely friendly and the service was just right. I would highly recommend a meal at the restaurant, even if you’re not staying at the Indigo Hotel.

Really lovely place with a great menu. The food was cooked beautifully and couldn’t fault it. There was no one else dining when we were in at 3pm which is such a shame as it’s a gem of a place! Staff were really friendly and attentive
