When visiting the restaurant, patrons descend 18 feet underground in a canopied glass elevator, accessed from street level, for a culinary experience unlike any other. The American Steakhouse offers an expansive 1,800 square foot subterranean courtyard allowing patrons to dine al fresco and enjoy a New Orleans-inspired exterior space. This cool oasis is complete with a 20 foot, 5-tiered granite water wall, multi-tiered landscaping, lava rock fire pit, and black granite bar. Dakota's below-ground patio has long been considered one of the city's most romantic dining spots.

We believe the best steaks come from the best cut and quality. That’s why we get all of our beef fresh from renowned beef purveyors, Allen Brothers. Each cut is corn and grain fed USDA Prime steak that our chef handpicks. Each steak is aged for a minimum of 28 days for a perfectly tender, juicy bite every time.

It is our goal to give you a great meal every time you join us for lunch or dinner.

Just left Dakota Steakhouse in Dallas, and WOW—it was an incredible experience! Went for New Years Eve. At $165 a person, I didn’t feel like it was worth the price. I had the Australian Waygu ribeye. If I would have known that the steak was going to come out drenched in some brown gravy like sauce, I certainly would have gotten something else. The Wife enjoyed her Surf and Turf. Service was lackluster. This is my 2nd time visiting Dakotas and the first time was terrific. I’ll give them another shot perhaps in the future.

Our New Year’s Eve dinner was awesome . The service was exceptional ( Henry) . He was very attentive & shared history about the restuarant with us . The food was cooked to our request & delicious. A great time with long time friends . We’ll be back .

We always have an incredible time when we come here but our server Bryan definitely took our experience to the next level. He was knowledgeable, welcoming, and persuasive. We tasted dishes we would not normally order and loved every recommendation he offered. Will definitely request him by name at every visit. Thank you for an amazing experience!

We come to Dakotas every time we have family in town- it’s so great we always have to share it!! The oysters are so clean tasting, they’re my favorite anywhere. The creme brûlée is so tasty! Would always recommend.

We were celebrating 24th anniversary. The restaurant and the atmosphere were amazing. We sat in the bar area, our server went above and beyond to make it a special experience. Our steaks were perfectly cooked, and were delicious. Thank you for making our night special.
