We are an award-winning restaurant with a beautiful waterfront location in Derby. We offer you classic British and European dishes with a modern twist, within a 200-year old former mill building: Darley Abbey Mills.

We also have two outdoor terraces so if you prefer, you can enjoy al-fresco drinks overlooking the River Derwent prior to your dining experience. We’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Darleys creates incredible flavours and stunningly-presented dishes that will delight you, all paired with the perfect wine or cocktail to make your experience complete.

Lovely location, friendly staff, food not quite the quality as 12 months ago, would like to see vegetable’s on the plate rather than purée’s of veg, I know you can order additional veg but at extra cost, drinks a little expensive, found any coffee’s were very pricey at £8.

We had a great meal with our friends. The service was fantastic and the food excellent. Highly recommended.

Ok so parking not too easy, but restaurant very welcoming, staff attentive and food tasty.

Went for Sunday lunch with my mum & my mother in law for their joint birthday treat! The trout starter was absolutely delightful the main course was so tasty and delicious, a very generous plate & the cheese board was a beautiful ending to an overall fabulous meal. Thank you to Chris & Winnie, and the rest of kitchen staff & staff in general:)

Every course of the 9 course tasting menu was excellent. So tasty and each dish so different. We never felt rushed. Received some excellent wine recommendations from the sommelier. Overall a fabulous place to spend a special evening.

Some things appeared to be deep fried putting a crunchy coating on most things and somehow seemed to take the flavour out. The Venue and location is really lovely albeit it didn’t have a car park. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming.

Sometimes you get what you pay for, yes price a little higher than your average restaurant but the quality of the food and service is excellent. If your looking for something a bit different and a real treat I can highly recommend giving this a try, we had the 3 course menu and every plate was delicious from start to finish, will definitely be returning 5*****.
