                                                              Reservations were easy and online. No Line when we got there. The waiter was so nice, attentive and knew his menu well. Food was delish. We went for a girls night. It was quaint and romantic. Perfect atmosphere for a date night. I would go again and again. Limoncello was perfection.

                                                              We come to Dolce often but this night we sat outside on the patio as it was a last minute reservation and was the only availability they had. Food and service were fantastic. The patio ambiance not so much. The space is decent but the killer thing there is the lighting. Somebody had the idea of putting a couple of podcast type super bright lamps on the corners, facing people's faces. It really kills the environment as the lighting does not match the rest of the Italian feel at all. I hope they see this review and think about putting overhead lighting to help the ambiance. I am being a bit dramatic about it because to me ambiance is half the experience. If I cannot get to sit indoors moving forward, we will just skip and go somewhere else but Dolce is a great place overall and I hope they fix their patio lighting.

                                                              Dolce is a wonderful place to enjoy a fabulous meal! Every time we are there it reminds us of cozy, family run restaurants all over Italy! Every member of the staff are great and the hostess is so welcoming and charming! Clearly our go-to restaurant on our very short list of high-quality, value-based restaurants that give you that genuine home cooked feel with every dish. We elected to celebrate New Year's Eve at Dolce and it was so memorable. Thanks to everyone for making our evening so special. Can't wait to see you again soon!!!

                                                              Food was very good. We encountered a little snag with our reservation upon arrival at the restaurant. I had changed the reservation from 2 to 4 people by phone the evening of our dinner. The person on the phone indicated that we would need to sit on the patio since we increased our reservation size. I told her that that would be fine. Before hanging up, I restated the reservation size of 4 to ensure that the person on the phone had it correct. She said yes. When we arrived, they said that our reservation was for three people, and that I had only updated the reservation number by one person. I told them that that was not correct and recounted the conversation. The person who took the call stood there and argued that I had only updated the reservation by one. I told her that was not correct again. The manager indicated that since we had four, we would need to sit on the patio. I told her yes, that that’s exactly what the person on the phone had indicated. It was odd that the phone person stood there and argued about this. In the end, we sat on the patio and the service was fine. However… The difference between the ambience of the indoor seating is much different than the patio vibe. If you have a choice, the indoor seating looks much much nicer. The patio ambience left a lot to be desired.  I would definitely dine there again to explore some of their other menu offerings. And I would definitely want to be seated inside.

                                                              Dolce is our favorite for Italian. We go a couple times throughout the year and in particular we love the holiday time. It has a neighborhood vibe where everyone comes for the great food, excellent service, and relaxing atmosphere.

                                                              I've been going to Dolce for 10 years, never had a bad meal or experience. Definitely two big thumbs up . Best Italian food in Charlotte
