DOPO, meaning 'after' in Italian, is an intimate dining experience in the lower level of Elizabeth Square in Marda Loop, Calgary. Inspired by D.O.P, its predecessor restaurant, DOPO has been reimagined by Executive Chef, David Leeder and Owner, Tony Migliarese. With strong opinions from Mamma Rose, of course.

    Really not sure about the hype around this place. All of our dishes were not great, and had very mediocre, or even poor, tastes, especially considering their extreme cost (and small portion sizes) on top of the insane difficulty of trying to get a reservation. I wouldn't recommend trying this place out even if it wasn't hard to get in, and honestly am sorry I even went because, seriously, the food is simply just not good, and honestly pushing the brink of being genuinely bad. Although the ambiance is quite neat, that alone can't make up for the food, price, and effort required. You might as well go to nearly any other Italian restaurant in Calgary for actual decent food at non-exorbitant rates.

    Just go here. Everything from the second you open the door, until you leave is absolutely perfect. Hospitality done right. Staff are knowledgeable and engaging, food is out of this world and the drinks curation here is second to none. Just go here.

    What an unbelievable gem tucked away in Marda Loop! Amazing ambiance from the moment you walk in. I tried the feature cocktail which was absolutely outstanding and the gnocchi was by far the best gnocchi we've ever had!

    DOPO is one of the best restaurants I have dined at. Everything we ordered was exquisite, and the gnocchi was next level.

    Amazing food and amazing service. Worth the hype 100%. Everything was amazing, would highly recommend the bianca lasagna. (And the ricotta and green tomatoes are a no brainer).

    This is a great addition to the neighbourhood! Welcoming staff, with excellent drinks / foods in a very cozy / fun atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!
