Situated within the Main Lodge at The Preserve Sporting Club & Resort, Double Barrel Steak offers both the public and overnight guests a rustic, inviting setting to enjoy modern American steakhouse-inspired cuisine. The seasonal menu is thoughtfully curated to provide an engaging and memorable dining experience. In homage to Rhode Island’s 'Ocean State' moniker, the restaurant features 'ocean steaks' such as swordfish, halibut, and tuna. Additionally, game dishes will appear seasonally, reflecting The Preserve’s outdoor spirit. For gentlemen, collared shirts are required, and no shorts or flip-flops are permitted. Double Barrel Steak is open to the public.

Considering it was the day after Valentine’s Day, they still made it sweet & romantic. Roses for the ladies & a complimentary champagne toast. My second experience at this place & I already am looking forward to my dinner here. Five stars all around!! Staff is absolutely amazing!!

This was our first time visiting the steak house we will definitely be back now that we know how to get there. We were greeted at the door immediately our sever Crystal was amazing and extremely friendly we will definitely be back and can’t wait to try more things on the menu.

We both had the boneless beef short ribs, which were amazing! It was also not a bad price considering that it comes with two sides and the portions were enough to take half of our meals home. Our servers were spot on for such a busy night.

The ambience was excellent as well as the entire staff The menu offerings were great Our steaks were delicious as well as asparagus, mushrooms, and steak fries The Keylime pie was superb

Excellent service, nice atmosphere but the food quality did not live up to the hype advertised. Filet at $58 was not moist and not much flavor like other fine steak restaurants. One guest ordered salmon which was over cooked. The bacon appetizer was different and tasty. Might go back to try a Thursday Burger night.

I’ve never had a bad meal here. The menu is creative without being pretentious. We felt very well taken care of.

Was a little disappointed with service, never checked water glasses, or offered refill on coffee, food was ok , but not outstanding for the price. Limited choices on the winter menu, and the handicap entrance was locked and had to wait for someone to let us in and it was raining

Steak was,delicious. If you are worried ask how much specials are. I was shocked my steak was $99. Although delicious. Service was ok. Mushrooms came late. Tea and coffee came late. Water Service ok. Table next to us talking on phone. Received a call and talked. Seems like regulars. It was rude to be talking on phone. Waitstaff was great.

I had the “ny strip and steak frites”. The steak was …..ok. I wouldn’t go back for it, in other words. The steak frites, also known as frozen McCain French fries or similar brand, were nostalgic, from high school cafeteria lunch. I usually stop here for a couple of reasons. It’s a quiet, extremely quiet, place to get a drink after work and I live in the area and secondly because I can’t believe it’s still open, because it’s quiet, extremely quiet. The service was very good. Ben was a very good waiter and the other staff also good. The place is very well appointed and decorated nicely but I still think it’s a rather odd place in this area. Either the owner has a great crystal ball as to the future development of Richmond or this will become a vacant “ ?” . I’m guessing the latter, not the former.
