We have a large, dog-friendly seasonal patio located on a tree-lined cobblestone walking street. We are located just off the Freedom Trail, steps away from the U.S.S. Constitution Museum & Boston Harbor Walk.

They were very accommodating when we arrived with an extra person - asked us if we wanted to wait up to 30 minutes for another table, which we did and then were seated within 15 minutes. The food and service were excellent. Highly recommend.

The food was spectacular and the service was great too. Cozy place to have dinner with a nice assortment of dishes. Love all the small plates. Also, had a great red wine from Spain that was well priced. Look forward to going back.

Lovely evening. Stellar waitress. Great wine I had the red snapper and I loved it. The staff was patient with us as we were with friends that we hadn't seen in 25 years and we couldn't stop talking!!!!

The service was terrible. We were rushed. The apps and entrees all arrived at once. There was a sense that we needed to rush from the minute we sat down. We had a reservation at 6:45 and were out by 7:45. We were given to bill before we completed our meal and when we paid, even as we were sitting chatting, out table was cleared. There is no option for tea after a meal and there is no dessert! Food was ok, good, not great. There is no way I would go back. Sorry that we took friends there. Went for a walk and got coffee, tea and dessert elsewhere. Very disappointing Friday night out.

What a gem in Charlestown. Ryan was absolutely exceptional as not only a server but also a sommelier, his attentiveness to our table while supporting others was above the bar. The entire team of Dovetail seems to click with collaborative energy. The local squash blossom torta was insanely good as was the tuna crudo. Cannot wait to go back for more of the menu!
