On this, The restaurants original site, Doyles on the Beach opened Australia's first seafood restaurant in 1885. We have been family owned and operated for over 5 generations.

The restaurant internationally famous and a mecca for Sydneysiders and tourists alike, offering a stunning range of fresh seafood for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.

Family Friendly, Great for date night!, indoor & outdoor dining located right next to the beach. We cater for families, business lunches, special events, weddings & special occasions. private rooms available.

Visit our newly opened open-air Garden Bar (open daily 11.30am - late) , try one of our refreshing cocktails, a draught beer or a glass of wine before dining in the restaurant or why not order from the garden bar menu. (reservations excepted for both the restaurant & garden bar)

    Geweldig om daar lunchen op een lazy afternoon inSydney. Wat een geweldige vis kaart met een geweldige uitkijk naar de skyline van SID.

    What a fabulous choice to eat in the Sydney area. An easy ferry trip from downtown Sydney to Watsons Bay. A restaurant full of history and atmosphere. Iconic views and wonderful fish dishes. Really good value for money. So glad we visited and a very high recommendation from us.

    Unfortunately we did not feel it was up to a standard that would warrant above fair, the Barra was bland, the portion was relatively small for the price they were charging and the salad for $17 was mainly greens small amount or pear and walnut. I would probably not recommend visiting the establishment

    It was lovely to return one of Sydney’s icon restaurants. The family feel, quality of cooking and efficient, friendly staff make you feel right at home. As we expected a great range of fresh seafood was on the menu and thoroughly enjoyed. Nice to see a cocktail list added to the drinks menu and the very underrated Doyle’s wines and beer are still available. Add in the wonderful location, novel ferry ride to get there and the views, made a lunch a great occasion for the family. We won’t wait so long to return next time. Cheers, Rob S.

    From the States and wanted to experience Watson’s Bay and Doyle’s. Beautiful location, we had a balcony table and enjoyed the view. Food met our expectations and we would love to come back!

    The restaurant seats by date of booking and order of seating preference. So be sure to let them know if you want to be on the balcony (outside) or inside as this will determine whether you are in the direct sun or not depending upon your dining time. We did not know this and they were kind enough to accommodate us to be out of the sun. The food was excellent as was service. It seems expensive for a small sourdough loaf ($12) - we get bread included for free at home, 3 prawns ($32) and fish & chips ($56) hence my "good value" rating only. However, food is expensive in Sydney, the portion size was not skimpy and the quality of the fish was high. So it was worth it and we'd go back again.
