   Our kids gave us a Drift gift certificate for our anniversary. We're very glad they did. Everything from the hostess to our server to the food was excellent. It was a very pleasant evening out and worth every penny. We will most certainly be going back.

   A Lakeside Brunch to Remember My wife and I savored an unforgettable experience at Drift on Lake Wylie. The meal began with a vibrant Panzanella and Burrata, paired with a delightful mimosa flight. Dawn's shrimp and grits were a Southern delight, while my huevos rancheros packed a spicy kick. The Exotic Bomba dessert was a tropical explosion of flavors. Drift on Lake Wylie is more than just a meal—it's a memory waiting to be made. And yet, the true star wasn’t on the menu. Lorayne, our waitress, wielded hospitality like a superpower. She navigated our table with the grace of a diplomat and the timing of a stand-up comedian. When Dawn launched into a story about our cruise, Lorayne didn’t just listen—she participated, asking questions with the enthusiasm of a talk show host. Her presence transformed the meal from “a nice brunch” to “a memory we’ll weaponize in future arguments about where to eat.”

   I purposely asked the waiter to ensure our meal did not arrive BEFORE we got a chance to eat our appetizers. After a long delay in receiving any of our food, the meal was served with salads and what do you know, here come our appetizers and within minutes the main courses. We didn’t get to enjoy our meal as we had no food then everything came at once. Quality of the steak was just Ok but the seafood was very good. A disappointing experience for $580 for 5 people.

   Great food and wonderful views Noisy and service a little slow Our steak was good but I will order a different cut next time. First time and worth another visit.

   I cannot say enough about the Drift. From the minute my wife and I walked in everyone made us very welcomed and special. The view from the outside deck was spectacular, our servers Kelli and Haley were amazing. I can’t even put into words how wonderful the food tasted other than it was even better than the view. My wife love the lamb shank and thought the Careme’ brûlée was the best she had ever tasted and coming from a person that will order it every time it available she knows her careme’ brûlée. The minute you walk in, you know your wallet is about to get much thinner, but it’s worth it. I highly recommend The Drift and we will be back. Thank you for making us feel special and helping me celebrate my wife’s birthday. Doug

   We had an exceptional birthday dinner at Drift last evening. We had a fantastic table overlooking the lake, a delicious meal and outstanding service by both our server and the manager. The restaurant and server went out of the way to make the celebration special, with a small glass of champagne for the adults and ginger ale for our two grandchildren to toast their mom, when they brought a delicious piece of flourless chocolate cake to celebrate! P.s. The chicken tenders and french fries that the kids ordered were some of the best!

   This was our 1st wedding anniversary and it was recommended by a friend! It lived up to the expectations and more…Great ambience, service, food and view!! Highly recommend and will be attending again!!
