It just opened… still a few kinks to work out. Don’t go if you’re in a hurry. Reasonable quality, more authentic than most other Italian offerings in town, nice casual set up. Great for family gatherings.

The waitress was very friendly. The food was excellent. We had the meatballs appetizer and the Cacio and Pepe pasta. It was a little too noisy.

I went to eat at the Eataly restaurant for the first time last night and I have a mixed review! As far as the food goes— we couldn’t try quite a few things we were interested in because they were out of quite a few things! There was no bolognese, a few other dishes, and even no Diet Coke, regular coke, or still bottled water. As far as what we did eat: the autumnal bruschetta was okay, the chicken Milanese was AMAZING (would definitely recommend), and the margherita pizza was just okay (floppy.) I also had the Paloma-ish mocktail which flavorwise was okay but I think it could’ve used bubbles and a fun garnish. Our waiter was very kind and apologetic that they were out of so many things. As far as ambiance- it was quite loud in there and also a bit cold where we were sitting. The food came out quickly. Overall, it was just okay for me but maybe I would feel differently if I would have been able to try everything!

There were numerous items unavailable on the menu. The restaurant does not make any substitutes which made it more difficult on a menu that was already limited due to being out of specific meals.

We had a lovely experience at Eataly Short Hills! We started with drinks (Limoncello Spritz, & Negroni Bianco) paired with Pane Rustico and Calamari Fritti apps! For entrees we had Tagliatelle Al Tartufo Nero and Cavatelli con Salsiccia e Broccoli. We finished off our meal with the fantastic tiramisu! The timing between courses and service was perfect! Highly recommend!

Allowing for new restaurant issues disappointed in both food and service. Food was tasteless and pasta was served undercooked (raw).

Slow service, small portions, bad cocktail- I was told that there was no salt when I asked for salt and pepper?? Salad was missing 1/2 the ingredients?? Apps and entree came out at the same time?? Cappuccino was lukewarm Just a bad experience.

Nice new restaurant. They are still working out some of the kinks with service and the menu and were out of several items and the service, while lovely, was a bit slow and irregular. We enjoyed the pizza and salad. Others on our table enjoyed the pasta.

Very pleasant waiter, I think they still need to work out a few things, no ice tea, no Diet Coke, would not give us club soda from the bar we had to buy a bottle.. nice large salad but minimal dressing so we asked for more which took another 15 minutes and came back with wrong dressing, so we waited another 10 minutes.. overall it was good but I'm not rushing back for awhile

This place has a lot of hype but the food and service are mediocre at best. The pizza is good but sometimes inconsistent. The pasta was okay and definitely not with the price. I think the take out area is probably better value. Not sure I will dine at this place regularly in the future.
