Food and service were both excellent. Our waiter was very congenial and efficient. All and all we had a very pleasant visit.

Unfortunately this turned out to be a poor meal overall. The steaks were good but we did not like the lobster mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The service was very slow. Not worth the money.

Honestly the quality of the food would we be better at Texas Roadhouse. I was very unimpressed as were our friends I got the ribeye wow it came out looking like a frisbee We ordered meatball appetizer I might as well have went to McDonalds quality wise. Will not go back

We went here for lunch to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived shortly after they opened and were the first table seated. Since it was our first time here, we tried many items. Appetizers: calamari and sweet and spicy shrimp. We both ordered Caesar salads, crab and corn bisques with the lunch special of Steak Frites. Finished with crème brûlée for the dessert. Service was incredibly slow. At one point the server apologized for the food wait times, explaining there was only one chef in the kitchen. However, at that time there was only one other table of 5 seated in the whole restaurant. And even with a short-staffed kitchen, that shouldn’t impact filling drinks. Our server repeatedly forgot or took a long time to refill my soft-drink. As for the food: the appetizers had good flavor. However the breading was heavy on both the shrimp and calamari. The salad was fine. The soup had a good flavor as well, but it was mission impossible to find crab in the bisque. As for the main entrees, the ribeye steak was severely under seasoned. They sliced the steak for you, and whenever you served exposed meat like—there should always be finishing salt. It was very bland. The crème brûlée, however, was very good. Overall, I would not recommend. The place was beautiful inside but with slow service and mediocre food, I was not impressed.

If you want to be extra pampered, go to Eddie Merlot's, Warrenville. Every bit of indulgence from the shrimp cocktails thru filets cooked to perfection with sides of sautéed mushrooms and mashed potatoes and lobster plus drinks. Then top it off with their chocolate cake that's out of this world to finish off two birthday celebrations! The added plus was Phillipe was our waiter and wait on the four of us he did with outstanding care and information. We will definitely go back and soon-that's if our waistlines can handle it. AND we hope Phillipe will take care of us again. BTW--the beautiful decor is stunning and a breath of elegance to satisfy a wonderful change from stsrk and sterile.

Always enjoy getting bar bites, salad or soup with them & a glass of wine in the bar! Staff is very personable & food dekucious. Love their cozy chairs in the bar room too, as they are so comfortable! Atmosphere is excellent!
