The Good: nice restaurant and atmosphere. Good options for both seafood and steak eaters. Friendly staff. Good food and their prices are equal to other nearby high-end restaurants. We were seated in a booth which was quite comfy.
The Bad: while our server was pleasant, her service was spotty for an upscale restaurant. At times she always checking in with us (like rushing us) and other times nowhere to be found. Wedge salad was just ok…could get something like that at the Texas Roadhouse. The worst part of the meal was a side dish. Our truffle Mac and cheese side came out cold. Took us forever to get someone’s attention to get it heated/replaced. Finally, got it replaced (by the manager who appropriately apologized) when we were already done with our dinner. You would think the manager of all people would have taken that item off the bill when he saw we were done with our dinner…but it was not. So we had to have it wrapped up and ate it the next day…never as good the next day. Don’t know what he was thinking not taking this item off the bill because it most likely will cost them in the long run as we will most likely not go back and instead go to another fine dining seafood/steakhouse restaurant in the area (and there are many of them). Did the manager think he was the only place in town and can overlook a situation that literally would cost them nothing to fix? Eddie V’s needs some training on their motto of what a “fine dining” experience should be.
