El Basque is one of our favourite restaurants in the area. The food is always excellent and unique. You can enjoy dishes here that you simply cannot get anywhere else. The anchovies are delicious. The service is attentive without being intrusive.

Our waiter was fantastic and he used to live in Italy! Between the four of us, we ordered chorizo with cheese and marinated figs for an appetizer. I had the seafood stew which was fantastic and we all shared a bottle of Rioja. The chef even came out and delivered our app’s! Food was absolutely delicious and the restaurant had a very European feel! We will be back!

El Basque is a hidden gem where we can always count on excellent food and service! It is our favorite place to enjoy an intimate dining experience, and is also a great place to bring friends and enjoy a great evening out. It is not to be missed!

The food was just okay and the service was uneven . There were three of us dining at El basque and our first server could answer no questions and had to consult with or bring over another to answer questions . After ordering it was approximately 52 minutes until our entrées arrived . Others who came after us were served before us. The onion soup was fine . The escargots never showed up . They finally after serving the entrees said they forgot it but would get it right out though we declined at that point . The seafood with squid ink was unappetizing and flat in flavor . The basque poultry was bland as well . The coq au vin was average as well. All in all it was disappointing .

We had the pleasure of eating there Saturday, it had been almost a year and a half which was too long to be away. Our service was excellent, food and wine recommendations excellently paired. The attention of both the chef and server above and beyond. We were impressed and had a lovely evening which is what we set out to do.
