At El Silencio we specialise in Tacos & Margaritas with a dive-bar ambience. The music is loud and the drinks are strong ¡Andale!

Our tacos use gf corn tortillas from Balam - a Mexican food business set up by Eduardo and his team in Dublin. We have an excellent array of plant-based options too including the Vegan Prison Tray.

Our margaritas (11 different combinations and counting) use only the best 100% agave tequila and mezcal.

We don't mess around with wine/whiskey/vodka/dessert/coffee - just margaritas & tacos cabrones!

While the ambience and cocktails are good the food was so bad. The only dish that was nice was the corn. So disappointing! The wait to book a table here suggested amazing food but alas it’s only atmosphere and the prices did not match the food quality in any way. Should have had a cocktail upstairs and grabbed a taco downstairs in the fast food part on the way out. Obviously the same kitchen!

I know that people like this place but the food was not good 😐 the chicken tacos were awful, looked like tuna not chicken. Overall the food did not have any taste, bland and just not good.

Wouldn't recommend for food, so if it's Mexican food you are looking for I wouldn't recommend. The vibe was slightly on the dark side so if this is the vibe you enjoy, check it out, just not for me.

It is a very cool concept. You need to find the secret door to access this quaint restaurant and bar. It is small in size so you want a reservation. The menu is limited, but somehow with enough options for everyone (that’s impressive to pull off). I got the vegan tray. It was very good and pleasantly spicy. It was disappointing that they only serve tequila or beer. There was no wine or whiskey. The server was very nice, but later disappeared. We had to flag down a different server to close out the evening. All in all, it was a cool experience.

Creamed sweetcorn was delicious. The food is lovely but it was cold so wear a jumper!!

Food was delicious, we tried 6 different tacos between us and left nothing. The only negative was that one that didn’t sound spicy at all on the menu came out pretty hot, so if you aren’t into a lot of spice check with your server before ordering. Cocktails are all tequila/mescal based so not a lot of drink options if you aren’t a fan, but if you are you’re in the right place!

Incredible margaritas and amazing food! The portions are perfectly balanced—not too much, not too little—so you can enjoy your meal without feeling overwhelmed. Plus, it’s the ideal setup to savor their drinks while making the most of your 2-hour reservation. Highly recommend!
