Ernie's is an "open to the public" Gastro-Pub located at PGA West, overlooking the famous Stadium and Nicklaus Tournament courses. The hallmark of Gastro Pub fare is that it takes adventurous twists on familiar food, all made from scratch with palette arousing ingredients. Ernie's offers both a casual and refined atmosphere that welcomes the casual beer drinker, the wine enthusiast or the hipster looking for a cocktail. The restaurant consists of booths, low and high top tables positioned to provide people watching, sports on various TV’s or take in golf course views. The large patio provides both outdoor living room furniture and table dining. Two gas fire pits provide and area to relax, unwind and socialize.

6 of us dined here last evening, outside as requested. It started out fine but soon it was apparent that the bartender didn't know how to make an Old Fashioned. No bitters, no cherry or orange peel...just rhy whisky (as requested) and a whisp of syrup; just pretty much just pure alcohol. It took about 10 minutes to get them and then our server disappears. After about 20 minutes she shows up for our order. We complained since 3 of us ordered them. On the plus side, we were not charged for them at the end. As it got cooler outside they didn't offer to start any of their outdoor heaters, many of which were close by. There weren't vary many patrons so we expected quick service but that wasn't the case. It was another 20 minutes before we received our orders. We requested additional cocktails with our food order but didn't get them until we were almost done with our entrees. The food was good so we had that going for us. There's more but I think you get the hint that this wasn't what we expected nor experienced in the past.

Good food, good service, and beautiful views from outside dining. I wish they had on their website they didn't service breakfast on Sundays after 10:30.

We had an enjoyable time with a fairly large party (6 people). Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was very attentive. We liked it so much that we went back the next day to sit outside and enjoy the amazing view

They took us promptly for a 6:30 reservation. Waiter was quite good and responsive. Quesidea were tasty, but the winter salad was not particularly good. Seemed like it was missing dressing, but additional dressing didn’t help much. Usually I love such an arugula salad, but not this one. The curry dish was liked by one person but not the other. Atmosphere was fine, just much too noisy.

Not too many options for a last minute Christmas lunch. Ernie’s has a convenient location, the food was tasty, the view from our table was very nice. Our server was pleasant. Will return.
