The chicken was so far overcooked. It was so dry that it was falling apart almost like jerky. The beef was over cooked. The sushi didn’t have any sauce on it and the fish was not fresh. The trout was over cooked. When we addressed the manager he said I tried the chicken it’s fine. The breast is always drier than the thigh, so you should have eaten the thigh. What!?!? What kind of response is that!? Inappropriate for a manager and he didn’t care about our experience at all. The chicken was so over cooked it was like paper in your mouth. Terrible management. Terrible food. Only go here for drinks. Only!

Our server was awesome, but the food was okay. There’s a limited selection of choices for food and what was offered are equal to Seattle prices.

Outstanding and delectable. Handmade fresh pasta and bread that has a soft, melt in your mouth texture. The flavor layers are amazing. The staff is friendly and unpretentious and from our first bite we were blown away. Very sophisticated flavors and dishes. Honestly there are plenty of restaurants in Bozeman that don't live up to the hype but truly, Est 1864 Noir Bar deserves more hype. They certainly blew away our expectations. Our mock tails were fantastic, not just syrupy carbonation but you can taste the layers of flavor. You must try, you won't regret it.

The food and ambiance excellent! In side room! BUT RIGHT OUTSIDE in main room a table of 13-14 And the noise level was horrible! I had to remove my hearing aids and we could not talk between the four of us!!! Will try again……

We had a wonderful dinner celebrating my birthday in one of the private spaces! Our service was outstanding and the food always exceeds my expectations! The Sesame Caesar Salad is so good and my NY Strip was again perfectly cooked and just delicious! We love 1864!!

After being blown away by the "Speakeasy" decor and romantic lighting, we were seated at a very charming table and greeted by an exceptional server. This set the stage for an exquisite evening of dining. From the first taste of the appetizers, we instantly recognized that the recipes, preparation, and presentation were unexcelled. Sadly, too any meals, even at lovely restaurants, are about the same. NOT at this restaurant. The flavors were subtle but inspired, the textures superb, and the portions generous. As we're driving through the area, this was our first visit, but it certainly won't be our last. This is an outstanding restaurant!
