Fait Maison is all about incredible, beautifully spiced food, and fabulous patisserie and desserts. Executive Chef and Creative Director Om Waleed’s dishes have a wealth of influences from Palestine, the Middle East and the Mediterranean. Our food looks amazing and tastes even better and as you’ll see ‘every dish tells a story’.

Fait Maison at 50 Gloucester Road is a great favourite locally, serving up wonderful homemade food using the finest ingredients and friendly, welcoming service.

Kindly note that only Fait Maison cakes are permitted in store, do get in touch in advance, if you have a celebration to order a birthday / celebration cake. During very busy periods in the summer and over the Christmas holidays, we work on a walk-in basis. Please bear with our members of staff if there is a queue, we will try to seat you as quickly as possible.

Restaurant was sadly empty the whole time we were there! so no ambience. Waiter was attentive and polite but brought main courses while we were still eating starters, and cleared away husbands plates while I was still finishing my main course! Although there was music playing and we had plenty to converse about, we still had to listen to the staff chatting and the coffee machine being taken apart and cleaned. The restaurant is beautiful and the cakes and pastries looked glorious, but I feel it is more suited to Breakfast or Afternoon Tea than supper/dinner. The food was good, especially the appetisers, but my husband felt there could have been more meat in his Biryani. Lastly, we were disappointed to find that it was alcohol free, maybe it said that on the web site, but if so, I missed that point and missed my glass of wine with dinner. If I return, it will be to sample the macaroons, but certainly not for evening meal. An expensive and sadly underwhelming date night.

I had a wonderful dining experience. The food was good, The service was amazing, with attentive staff who really paid attention to the small details that make a big difference. The gentleman who served us was particularly nice, making our meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.

Food was extremely overpriced for the quality £150 for 5 breakfast dishes and 5 drinks that mostly tasted very bland.. The waiter also charged us for all the extras on the menu without even asking. Also, charged around £30 for bread and the waiter didn’t even ask us if we wanted it just offered to bring us paratha as if it was already included.

A lovely restaurant with a great choice of food. Really enjoyed our visit. Friendly waiters in a relaxed and welcoming environment, interesting food with some great flavours.

Everything was great until I found a small hair in my food. I quietly told the waiter but he simply did not care. He did not apologise and did not offer to replace it. I was a bit shocked at the service from this situation but I left it and finished my lemonade and left.
