For 165 years, the Farmers Arms Hotel has been a gathering place for Daylesford locals and travellers alike. Nowadays, it has evolved into one of the biggest supporters of local producers, showcasing wild and farmed ingredients from around Daylesford and the best of the region. Food was excellent Service was outstanding Only issue was there was no kids menu so they did the best with a couple of option but it was very limited. I think there needs to be a couple of pub grub dishes incl kids menu.

Upon arriving we were warmly greeted. The meal was tasty, service was friendly and professional. The new renovation is an improvement to the previous one. Good that the corner door has reopened and west the access to the bar from the bistro area has been reinstated. However, prices are still steep and there better are value for dining options available in town.

The menu needs a change up and more diversity inc the salad which I found hard to eat. Please get a proper coffee machine people drive from everywhere so a coffee before hitting the road would be great. You would make your money back well and truly . Thank you

I enjoyed a lovely early evening meal, started with a delicious refreshing cocktail, a beautifully cooked medium rare filet mignon and finished off with the Panna cotta for dessert. I’ll be back for more.

We enjoyed the atmosphere, staff , food and service. The wait staff, a lovely gentleman was impeccable… The food, we could not fault. Thank you!! We will be returning on many occasions

Choice of beverages was commendable, although speed of service was lacking. Entrees were exceptional (Burrata in Rocket pesto in particular was 10/10). Main courses of Fish and Chips and Duck Sausages with Mash were severely over cooked to the point of being dehydrated. Overall it was ok, but not great.

I found this comment, which I received within a confirmation email AfTER I had booked our table - and left a credit card security deposit VERY annoying “ We value our staff and believe they should be paid fairly. Therefore, to ensure we pay all of our staff the correct penalty rates, per their award, we apply the following service fees: Saturday 8.5%, Sunday 13.5% and Public Holidays 15%”. It should not be my responsibility for this venue to comply with its legal obligations in paying proper award rates for their staff. I always tip at a restaurant to recognise decent service, etc…? But last night I did not do this out of principle.

Great staff though to tell them apart from the guests would be hard as all dressed in what they woke up in at least an insignia on the same colour shirt, food was good but lacked any panash olives were salty as and just a plate of lukewarm warm olives from a jar no garnish and oysters were natural just with lemon , ok but a little mignonette would make it . The steak was cooked just right a little more pancetta wouldn’t go astray the mash and beans were great but again the spinach was so salty I couldn’t eat it. The chicken salad was enjoyed totally by the wife as was the mushroom pate I thought it was a little tasteless. All in all we had a good night prices were reasonable
