Built in 1927, Fig313 stands today as an original historical landmark of San Clemente, with a history that is meant to be shared with its seaside community. Carefully constructed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, distinctive design features include red-tile roofs, white stucco walls, hand-crafted windows and arches, painted tiles, and open-air courtyards.

Originally owned for the first 33 years by John and Jeanette Riley, 313 El Camino Real was renowned as Riley’s Waffle and Coffee Shop. Legend has it that actor John Wayne frequented the restaurant for a hearty American breakfast along with many travelers from all over the world. From 1960 on, Riley’s Café would change ownership many times, evolving into a furniture store, French restaurant, tequila company, and catering business. In 2012, the current owners purchased the property and began renovations and restoration, while staying true to the integrity of the original style.

      Andrew was amazing the ambiance was great the food was amazing would definitely go back. His server assistant was amazing too didn't catch his name.

      Great food and drinks. Fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff. Our food was seasoned to perfection. We had a special, wich was a good choice. Fairly priced for unique, creative take on Spanish’s Pork chop with trufle mashed potatoes. Cocktails are good, creative and tasty. Service is prompt and wait staff is very knowledgeable. Well heated patio is cozy and comfortable. My advise, ask to be seated on the patio when making a reservations since everyone like to be there too. On the other hand, Indoor dining is elegant and comfy as well. Favorite dessert, a must have is Fig Butter Cake. Yummy 😋

      Cozy beautiful outdoor area. The food was good but a bit on the salty side. Service is great. They promptly changed a cocktail that still had lipstick on the cup. Dinnerware, cups, and utensils could be better for the price point.

      Food was terrible. The beef bourguignon tasted like it was cooked a few days before, frozen and reheated and put in top of powdered potatoes, tough and flavorless. The scallop dish was served cold and they reheated it TWICE which made the scallops overcooked and rubbery. The celery root puree was just weird. I’ve made it and had it in many restaurants and this was no good! It was extremely loud too! Not happy!

      Very good food, great drinks and wine list selection. Service on point. Food and drinks well priced. Fresh ingredients and good quality food. Ambiance is amazing. You can dine on a beautiful heated patio/garden or cozy indoor dining room, both areas are equally good.

      The food at Fig 313 was good but overpriced for the amount you received and the side of hot bread with fig butter was over baked and dry.

      Let me start with saying, this is the best place around. Food quality and ingredients like oysters mushrooms in my dish , prime cut meat for my partner and wagyu burger for a kid, are something to be proud about serving. Service is very good, owners are very pleasant and present, which means a lot. It screams that they care. Ambiance is unique, beautiful heated garden as no other place in town. Almost forgot about coctails. They are great, very well price only $18 for quality drinks. I like them slightly sweet, so mine was perfect and my partner asked for something spicy, and they listened and got it right.

      It was a very busy day (Christmas Eve) but we were greeted warmly and seated at our reservation time. Our server was friendly, although a bit forgetful. We ordered a few items that we were told later they had run out of, somewhat disappointing but I guess understandable for the busy holiday. What we did have for dinner was delicious. The portions were moderate to generous. The Caesar salad was excellent as was the chicken. My son loved the short ribs. We will definitely return.

      An exceptional dining experience from the minute we walked up to the hostess desk to the minute we walked away from the hostess desk. Everybody was lovely. The ambience was perfect. The food was on point and we were exceedingly happy with our overall experience. Thank you.
