   Fitzroy Town Hall Hotel came highly recommended to us, and it didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly and knowledgable, and the food was divine. It was the best steak I have had in years. We will definitely be back.

   Was surprised the place was empty on a Friday night. Menu looked great. Everyone was happy with the food. Hanger steak was en pointe, and the c l parfait was delicious. Wines by the glass were delicious. However, we had to leave our table in the middle of the dining room to get second and third glasses. The dining room had a weird vibe. The lights were so dim, 2/3 of us (in our 30s) couldn't read the menu it was so dark. We asked for candles for the table. Overall very good gastro pub fare.

   Had another great meal here . Very generous serves . Chicken schnitzel was beautiful and sirloin steak delicious and tender …. Will certainly be back ..

   Just the normal wonderful steak night, great value and fantastic and attentive staff. Always a ‘go to’ on Wednesday night!

   Food was delicious and great value. We had the olives, bread , dip and pate to share and it was fantastic. The baba ganoush was roasty and yum. Mains were all delicious and were elevated pub food, at very reasonable prices. The staff were so friendly, helpful and relaxed . We sat outside on a beautiful Melbourne evening and loved the chat and the beers ( a mix of tap and alcohol free) watching the life outside. The rooms inside though look charming. Thank you for a great night

   Cellar is excellent for a small to mid sized group. Service friendly and attentive. Wednesday steak night is a bargain

   We come for the $25 steak night every Wednesday and have named in the best steak night in Melbourne, even the salad is outstanding. Tonight that was not the case, we are hoping it was an off night and things will be back to normal. My steak came out raw and then was reckoned and tough, the sauces were too thick and blobby, the salad was not the same, nor was it mixed or cut up properly. Tasted like a coles salad bag, my partner got a large pile of radishes in his and we had large chunks of cabbage and herbs. Much less chips than usual, we have faith in the Fitzroy Town Hall Hotel! Our fav local and BEST STEAK, hoping things will be back to normal by next Wednesday. And… if the recipes have changed, don’t fix what isn’t broken!!

   we couldn’t have had a better experience for christmas day lunch. the food was superb! we had… oysters kingfish crudo prawn cocktails crayfish side salad fries eggnog dessert cremw brûlée thank you to all the staff that looked after us! it was truly a wonderful time
