                                                                                                    Forbes Mill food is outstanding. Sea Bass was perfect it as a celebration of three birthdays and we were greeted with a menu with our name wishing happy birthday.

                                                                                                    Fabulous food but went during the Christmas holidays. Place was very noisy due to business parties and other gatherings. Staff didn't seem as relaxed as usual, probably because the restaurant weas nearly full. Strongly recommend the restaurant. Just maybe find a quieter time to go.

                                                                                                    NY steak had very little flavor; last one I had at Forbes a few months ago was great so Forbes needs to work on consistency of the beef. Also mushrooms very bland and dry, need a new recipe. . On the positive side the wedge salad was excellent but salad should not be the memorable part of the meal at a steakhouse. The waiter Victor was awesome.

                                                                                                    Pros: My food was delicious. Filet cooked perfectly. Au Gratin potatoes were creamy and decadent. Cons: Unfriendly server. My boyfriend's ribeye was overcooked. It was also his birthday and despite acknowledging it upon checking in, they did nothing special for us. Also they charge $4 for bread and butter??? Lastly, they sat the table next to us way too close. Could hear their entire conversation and could barely fit when backing out of my chair. Too expensive for these all these shortcomings.

                                                                                                    Everything was great except our server. He was not attentive and left us hanging a few times. We had too ask twice for bread at our table and we ordered sauces that we didn't get till we were done with our food. We were missing forks and had to ask twice for them. Then found out because we had a party of 6 they automatically added his tip!

                                                                                                    We had a wonderful and delicious dinner at Forbes Mill Steakhouse. Our waitstaff person was outstanding and professional and extremely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the Waygu Filet Mignon and Fennel Dusted Lamb Chops. The Lobster Vol a Vent and French Onion Soup were out of this world! And the Chocolate Decadence and the Blackberry Cabernet and Mango sorbets were sooooooo good! Of courser the Hemingway and Pinot Grigot wine were superb! We will definitely be back not only because of the food and drinks but also because of you wonderful and hospitable staff.
