Highly Seasonal
While our menu will change over with each passing season, we also continue to source the freshest ingredients from local farms to help inspire daily specials. Our goal is to give you the best tasting dishes, the easiest way to do that is to start with what’s in season.
Nose to Tail, Root to Leaf
We believe every part of the plant and animal can and should be used in the process making food. Whether it’s used as a component in making stocks/sauces, as the main ingredient of the dish, or as a garnish, our goal is to use 100% of the entire plant/animal we purchase. The goal is less waste and responsible consumerism.
Return to Cooking
With our wood fired oven and wood fired grill we are returning to the origins of cooking: cooking over fire. Here at Foster, we combine fresh ingredients, classic technique, and an open flame to serve you a meal that’s simply elegant.

Our second time at Foster, and we are always impressed with the staff and service, as well as the quality of the food. For a last minute New Year's Eve dinner, we chose Foster and went with our server's recommendation of the pizza special - a German pizza that sounded very unusual but turned out to be delicious and inventive, with a Dijon cream base, pepper sauerkraut from a local purveyor, Gruyere cheese and knockwurst. The flavors blended beautifully. My course was the Korean rice cakes with spicy pork, scallion and sesame seeds - delicious heat, and again, a dish you're not likely to find elsewhere. Nicely done!

This is the third (or 4th) try for a restaurant in this venue over the past 20 years. It’s a decent space, and service was great, but the food was average. We had the fried chicken which was solid, but the pizzas were underwhelming. Drink selection was very good - interesting cocktails and a decent variety of beers. Downside was the bill - pricey for sure - more like Manhattan than Sea Cliff. We may be back but for drinks and apps.

This was the first time we had dinner here. I give this place an A+++. The food was amazing, service was perfect, I had the best sangria I've ever had anywhere! We will definitely be back. This is my new GoTo spot. We are already planning to brunch here next weekend.

Fabulous experience. The staff was incredible. Very knowledgable, hospitable and went above and beyond. The food was fantastic. The cocktails were delicious. We cannot wait to go back!

My wife and I have been here a couple of times and it's been consistently terrific. The menu is diverse and inspired, the cocktails are inventive and delicious, service is warm and attentive and the vibe is super chill. We went most recently on a freezing cold night most recently and it was the perfect temperature and ambience.

Enjoyed an amazing meal at Foster last night! We started with a special, a delicious salad of roasted beets with candied hazelnuts, feta and pomegranate seeds (should be a permanent addition to the menu!), sautéed squid, shishito peppers and bread. We followed with the steak with chimichurri, the braised short ribs and pizza. Food, service and ambience were fantastic! Highly recommend!

My friends and I went here for lunch yesterday and absolutely loved the entire experience. The food was delicious - I had the Impossible Burger; the burger was fantastic and the fries were crispy, thin, and still hot. My friends really enjoyed their meals, too. And the apple crisp dessert was so tasty and perfectly autumnal. The vibe there is great and the service was excellent. I look forward to go back again!
