Wat viel dit tegen. Op oudejaarsdag geweest. Van te voren het menu betaald. We hadden ons verheugd op gezelligheid, sfeer en show. Daar hadden we ook voor betaald. Helaas geen enkele waar voor ons geld gehad. Hier gaan we nooit meer heen! Erg massa gevoelig, veel te duur en geen waar voor je geld. Jammer, was voor ons een mislukte avond!

Een voor- en hoofdgerecht gehad. Eten is goed, maar niet heel iets bijzonders. Dat doen naastliggende restaurants beter.

We regret going here. We had reservations. The service was slow, and it seemed as tho we were invisible. We were seated in a area that was crowded and noisy (despite the fact that we had requested originally to be seated outside instead). Then we had to wait for our menus. All this time, we were noticing people getting escorted outside. Still waiting for our server, when finally asked to be moved to a less noisy and crowded area. Then we still waited for our menus. I had to get up and get the attention of the host to have someone wait on us. When they did, we got our menus, and then had to get the attention of another waiter to bring us our drink menu. Honestly, we felt ignored, and I had to constantly get a waiters attention. Finally we were treated respectfully, but not until I had to make an initiative. The food was underwhelming. After they took our plates away, the manager came to apologize, and made excuses that they were busy. I have to mention that there were open tables all around us, and if that's his opinion of busy....then they have other problems. I mentioned how extremely disappointed we were, considering that this had higher expectations. He offered to cover our meals. I offered to pay half, but he insisted to cover the entire amount. I thanked him for admitting to his failure to please us, and said I'll leave a small tip for the waiter (even though he and the others failed miserably) and I mentioned that I would not be coming back, and the review that I will leave will express my thoughts.

It was extremely busy when we arrived. We had a confirmed 7:15 PM reservation and we waited about 20 minutes before we were sat at a table that was in the middle of the room and the waiters were running back-and-forth through the door. There was a lot of confusion and nobody knew who was responsible for our table. As we say in the states they were “in the weeds”! Trying to figure out why my eye was so blurry We were not offered a cocktail or a wine menu for 30 minutes. This was very disappointing. We had finished our appetizer before we even got the wine menu. The night continued like this where we felt as though there was no waiter assigned to our table and it was chaos. Very disappointing because our friend said this is a very nice restaurant But compared to the other restaurants on the strip there was no comparison their service was impeccable.. sorry to say we may not return. The food was just ok for the price.

We were disappointed with the food, it was overcooked and not fresh. Calamari was very chewy.

This restaurant used to be a favorite but has really gone down hill. I made a reservation for a Sunday evening, requesting an outside Palapa, which we have enjoyed in the past both for the privacy and the quiet. For the first time this year, we were required to put down a credit card hold, with the understanding that we would be charged $100 a person ($300) if we canceled within 24 hours. Upon our arrival, we were informed that the Palapas were not in use (whether it was just that night or forever was unclear). We requested a quiet table and were led to the middle of the dining room where three television sets were blaring the Super Bowl at full blast volume. Nothing on Open Table or the restaurants website said anything about a Super Bowl party. If it had, we would have gone elsewhere and if not for the credit card hold, we would have left. The noise level was ridiculous and conversation was impossible. We were asked on two occasions how things were by staff and we gave an honest answer (that it was way too loud in here), the response was basically “yeah it’s the Super Bowl” - basically no apology or attempt to accommodate whatsoever. The food was fine, but nothing special either. The service was disappointing. Multiple waiters attend to your table at once almost as a charade to suggest that the service is top-notch and you’re being heavily attended to, but all those people come by the table every 2 minutes and we still have to ask for a refill of water? Why are you not noticing we are out of water and just refilling it automatically? It’s really basic service that is just completely absent. My impression is that they are attempting to present this atmosphere of upscale dining and attentiveness (I was probably asked by 4 different people if we had any food allergies - no, I don’t but thanks for listening to my reply the first 3 times you asked). We travel to Cancun each year and will be taking Fred's out of our dining rotation.

The service we received was outstanding!! Everyone went above and beyond, especially with regards to a gluten allergy in our group. Would recommend Fred’s as a must go when in Cancun!!

Absolutely outstanding. The service was impeccable, the food was absolutely delicious and the view and sunset so beautiful. Highly recommend.
