   Enjoyed Easter Brunch upstairs. Everything was amazing . The views are nice, the band was perfect, the food was beyond perfect, the prices were a fraction of what I thought they would be, and our server, Ghitta was extraordinary . I will definitely be back!

   Nice ambiance, delicious foods, courteous staffs, knowledgeable sommelier. A must try destination for those with affinity to steak cooked properly. Thumbs up for one of the best restaurants in Houston.

   I miss the old location. It was small, cozy and surface was unmatched. GJ used to be one of our favorite restaurants. Tonight, our ribeyes had so much gristle and tendon throughout that we could hardly enjoy it. We did not want to complain about it, but my husband brought it to the server’s attention. He ordered the porterhouse, which he enjoyed. The manager came to our table and called it marbling. Gristle is not marbling. He seemed offended, did not offer a solution, and never returned to our table. Neither did our server for that matter, but once, when my husband ordered another drink, which he never received. He didn’t return for another half hour where we had to wait and wait for our check. I brought it to his attention that he never brought the drink and that it has been quite some time since we asked for it. He just said OK and dropped off the check. Before we made the comment about the ribeyes, service was flawless. Staff at this restaurant Cannot take an ounce of criticism. Thankfully, Houston has a wide range of better options that we will opt for.

   The restaurant was beautiful. Our server went above and beyond in offering suggestions and being patient as it was our first time there. When the food came out it was presented amazingly well and we enjoyed every bite.

   Our anniversary dinner at Georgia James had its moments but ultimately left us a bit disappointed. We were seated promptly at 8 with our reservations and enjoyed the charming ambiance provided by a live pianist. Our server was friendly, acknowledged our special celebration, and even brought us a couple of ½ glasses of bubbly—although we were surprised to find out we had to pay for it. Unfortunately, the timing of our service was off. Our first drink and appetizer arrived almost simultaneously, which didn’t allow us to savor the cocktail on its own. We shared a dish of steaks and mac-n-cheese am, but the steak—ordered medium rare—was undercooked. Asked for it to be cooked to the right temp but it got to the point where it seemed like it had been finished in a microwave, leaving an odd aftertaste. The after-dinner drink was also delayed and mishandled, further testing our patience. On the plus side, the complimentary dessert for our anniversary was a thoughtful touch. However, for a $300 dinner, we had expected a more refined and seamless experience.

    We are first time customers to Georgia James and came to celebrate my husband's birthday. Everything from the service, ambiance and especially the food was perfect. The staff was super friendly and not pretentious. Thanks for a fun evening - we'll be back soon.
