Located between the Delaware River and Canal in Bucks County, the Golden Pheasant Inn offers fine dining and luxurious accommodations in a truly picturesque setting. We are only one hour and thirty minutes from New York City or Philadelphia, and only 25 minutes north of New Hope, PA.
The Inn had previously been family-owned and operated for over 30 years by the Faure family. Jack Thompson, of the Thompson Organization and the Black Bass Hotel, purchased the Golden Pheasant in July of 2019 and plans to reopen in the new year. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Golden Pheasant Inn!

We've long cherished The Golden Pheasant as a very special restaurant, an oasis where we could enjoy a delicious dinner in a classy setting and with attentive, well trained wait staff. The Golden Pheasant Inn was an elevated experience, a well oiled machine that followed a certain choreography to nurture its guests. It was not just some place that serves good food. Last night we were in a for a big disappointment. This was our first visit following the change of ownership. The bread that was served before dinner was frozen on the inside. My wife found a large onion skin in her meal, and her steak was hastily prepared in under 10 minutes. Even the diet coke, which would seem hard to mess up, was watery and clearly came from a cheap cartridge. Also, we both noticed significantly reduced portion sizes compared to previous visits. We were in and out in under an hour. I'm not sure whether or not this is the direction the new owners are giving the restaurant. If it is, it will be the wrong one for us. At the same time, we are business owners ourselves, and have first-hand experience with the difficulties of ownership transitions. That's why we will likely give the new Gold Pheasant another chance, hoping that we haven't lost this treasure in our area.

Very quaint. Still some fall flowers outside although would be prettier in spring or fall with leaves on the trees. Lovely view of the canal on one side and the river on the other. A nice wood burning fireplace. The smoked country pain was delicious.

Food and service is excellent. I would rate the dining and B&B accommodations as one of best in this area of PA and NJ.

This is a beautiful, historic inn between the Delaware River and the old canal. The sun set just after we arrived, which limited the view, so we recommend that you go when the sun is out. The service was excellent. The food was wonderful.

Love this restaurant. From the ambience, to the service and especially the food. My favorite restaurant in Bucks County. Had filet mignon this time, perfectly prepared...and cannot wait to go back for Moules-Frites. Excellent ingredients and the dish is what it is, rather than some complicated concoction that just misses....(ok, that's a pet peeve ;) Enjoy!
