Goldies’ menu focuses on the use of a wood-fired grill, with a selection of small and large plates connected by rich, smoky flavours. Highlights include a Merguez Scotch Egg with harissa mayonnaise, Marinated Baby Chicken with smoked yoghurt, and Grilled Wild Mushrooms, Baby Leek, and a confit egg yolk. In a nod to the founders’ French roots, variations of the iconic Frites are the signature of the restaurant, which are hand-cut and twice-cooked, in either beef dripping or vegetable oil.

The design of the space is centred on the expertise of wood-fired cooking, with kitchen counter seating to create a dramatic dining experience for guests. The interiors are cosy, with contemporary decoration, terracotta warm tones and a groovy musical atmosphere. Goldies features a noteworthy terrace that fits 30 guests.

We went for the Goldies burger. Lovely lil sesame seed naan bread with a kofte like burger, lots of sweet onion and what seemed to be burger sauce. This item was the only on item we order that felt some what seasoned. The pickle attached was sad and felt very much like an after thought. We order a salad that had so much oil it masked everything. If there was seasoning you couldn't taste it. We got some chicken skewers, best part of that was the banana peppers which where exactly like those you get in a doner kebab. Chips were okay as were the dips. Would I go again, no. Would I recommend to anyone, no.

Always a pleasure to eat at Goldies. There's integrity and philosophy underpinning the menu - the wood fire, the abundant herbs and spices, the superb contrast between the unctuous and the refreshing. It's a delightful array of delicious treats and the whole menu feels coherent and sophisticated - but never pretentious. We had the special. The 550gm sirloin seared to give it attitude, finished in the oven to give it a phenomenal consistency...superb. Big side of those stunning golden fries and added a significant salad of Broccoli and Chef Will's sparkle of elevating extras... pomegranate seeds included... little gems on a brilliant combo. Thanks Team. Graceful and Inspired. Go. Eat. Be happy.

Booked Goldies for a friend’s birthday. Staff were not attentive/ didn’t seem like they wanted to help at all. A small gesture of wishing the birthday girl a happy birthday would have gone a long way. We wanted to order the special which was a sharing steak and chips, they had sold out by 8. We the proceeded to order the burger which was essentially what tasted like a cheap lamb kofta on aldi flatbread which you could barely see under a mountain of pickled onion. Not very impressed I’m sad to say, I was looking forward to my evening here and had it on my list for a while.

The team at Goldies were totally lovely, and even gave us a (free) extra pot of one of the sauces from the starters to go with the fries because they could see how much we were enjoying it. The WOW burger does not look like a burger - if I had known a bit more about what that was like then I think I might have ordered one, but if that's my biggest complaint then they have done very well!

We enquired about Gluten-free offerings beforehand but on arrival that some we had been told would be safe were not which removed a few items we were looking forward to getting. That said, the Monkfish and Baby Chicken were excellent and the servers were very attentive which was excellent.

The meal was much nicer on first occasion. The second time it was greasy, cold and we sat at bar and it was stressful, evident that the chefs were under pressure. Originally loved but now hesitant to return which is disappointing

An ‘ok’ place - better places to eat in London for this price range. Some dishes reasonable and some overpriced. E.g - one chicken skewer for £9!
