Having been to Grazia a number of times I was well aware of their 2 hour attendance “rule”. However last night it was taken to the extreme and certainly diminished our experience. Of course the maitre d’ mentions this on our way in. Then over the next 2 hours we were reminded by the not so pleasant waiter at least 6 times. The final insult was at the 1.45 hour mark- the waiter stood over us requiring us to pay up. As we left the restaurant at 8pm on a Monday night there were over 4 free tables and no waiting customers. We left feeling very undervalued as customers and it will probably be a long time before we return to Grazia.

We had tataki, spicy calamari, duck breast, lobster pasta, tiramisu and bomb Alaska. Can't fault any of them. Everything was perfect, can't pick any favorite either..

We had difficulties with our experience. The food was great and the facility decor was likewise. Our booking was for 7 people at 8:30 but due to the late arrival of the prior booking we were directed to stand out the front until our table was available so we were seated at 9pm. Kudos to the staff who then provided a glass of Prosecco for each of us as compensation. The kitchen though seemed not to be able to handle the later booking very well because our meals did not arrive together spanning over 10min between the first and the last and the sides did not arrive at all. The wine selection was very good. If we did not experience the various services issues I would have rated the experience a 4.5 because the food and wine were very good.

I will preface this review to say we have been to this restaurant several times before, with our last visit late November 2024 for Christmas dinner with friends. This was going to be our "go-to" as a local favourite. We recommended the restaurant for a special dinner for visiting family from interstate. Unfortunately, it missed the mark on many levels. On arriving, our table was not ready and we waited awkwardly by the bar and felt we were crowding other diners (and it was a hot night to boot). We waited at least 20 minutes to be seated. Nonetheless, we were looking forward to our meal. The calamari was soggy but the tomato salad was fresh and tasty. Two of us ordered the scotch fillet which looked like minute steak covered in mushroom sauce, not something we expected from a restaurant of this caliber- and what was meant to be medium rare for one of us was burnt underneath. The gnocchi was hard and had an unusual taste, and the lobster pappardelle, while it had a nice taste, had only about three pieces of seafood. Desserts were quite ordinary- the sorbets were strangely flavoured, except the ricotta and almond, and the tiramisu lacked flavour.

The great team of staff here really add to the whole experience - without exception they are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The food never disappoints, and we had a wonderful red wine from the Piedmont region of Italy. Thanks again

We had a lovely table for 3 (the only other option was outside) & my other 2 guests were elderly. They did manage the daunting stairs & the lunch was perfect 👌🏻. Kirsten, Marco, Francesco & others provided exceptional service., no hovering around the table is a bonus, but attentive to our needs. The menu, both food & wine, were perfect- well done chefs. The fact that this quality restaurant is open on a Monday is also a bonus. We are visiting from SA & will send all our friends to dine here. Grazie mille.
