    We have visited Gyukaku many times and have enjoyed bringing all of our friends and family here many times over the years. The quality of service has declined in our last visits immensely. We visited on a quiet Wednesday evening; we were one of perhaps 4 tables seated at the restaurant. It still took our server 20 minutes to introduce himself and take drink orders after we were seated; we had to flag him down every other time throughout the night. Food was served to us slowly. I would say they appeared understaffed but there was no issue with the entire service staff trotting out to sing Happy Birthday to other tables no less than THREE times during our meal. If you are not going to have servers come around frequently, at least provide table buttons so we can summon them from where they're flirting behind the bar or sitting on their phones in a nearby booth.

    Reservation was on time. Food was good but not anything outstanding. Server was attentive. Could lose the chicken with pesto item.

    Food was excellent. Our server was really great. Gave us suggestions made recommendations and was overall very friendly and helpful. The ambience of the restaurant was perfect for a date night. Will be going back!

    Service was terrible on a Friday night, we waited to be seated for 10-15 minutes even with a reservation and waited at the table for 20 minutes until we had to tell a server that no one has come to serve us yet.

    The food was really good, and the cuts of meat were perfectly portioned. My only let down was I thought it was all you can eat, but that’s only Mon-Thurs. but there were plenty filling sides.
