Van de OpenTable-redactie: Celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson combineert zijn Zweedse opvoeding met zijn Ethiopische afkomst. Hij biedt New Yorkers innovatieve en unieke fusiongerechten waarin zeevruchten centraal staan. De twee keukens versmelten prachtig in gerechten zoals berbere-gemarineerde zalm, geserveerd met appelwater en avocado. Deze hotspot in Chelsea kreeg dan ook twee sterren van de NY Times. The three-course, family-style menu will be served using items from the collection, and will highlight the inspirations behind both the food and designs: Marcus’s Ethiopian heritage, Swedish upbringing and New York City home base. We went for New Year's Eve. It was such a nice vibe--all different kinds of people, some dressed up, some not, just everyone being themselves. Drinks, bread basket, hamachi ceviche, pasta and snapper were all amazing. The only thing we didn't love were the scallops. The food overall was creative and the service was great--friendly and helpful. We thought it was very reasonably priced for what we got, and we will go back!

Wonderfully creative food, mixing Sweden and Ethopia (Swediopia) and other influences. Beautifully prepared fish. Everything was delicious. The black mermaids and mermen decorating the spacious room add to the exotic atmosphere. Service was a little irregular (on a not overly crowded evening) but friendly. Really worth a visit.

The waiters recommendations were phonomenal. Everyone enjoyed starter and meals. The food and drinks were well balanced, unquestionably delicious!! Nice Christmas eve dinner.

I initially thought my meal was delish. The tuna tar, the black bass yummy, the coconut rice also good. The problem was the greens. We asked our server and he said they will serve us greens with no pork. Well that was not the case. I have not eaten pork in over 30 years. I have been so sick with a headache and then some. If you don’t eat pork don’t get the greens. Disappointed!!

I have been to this restaurant before and it was great. This time, the service was unpolished and awful, the kitchen screwed up on delivering one of four main courses, the fish was overcooked and once they brought out the missing entree, it was mediocre. Ver disappointing, I know this restaurant can do better, but i can't think of going back right now. Even worse, we were celebrating a special occasion.
