Absolutely fabulous food service and ambience. All staff consciences and attentive and made my meal special. I shall return as those steaks… melt in the mouth

Overall experience, service and quality of food were all very good and hard to fault. Our only gripe is from the moment we sat down we were rushed to turn the table for the next booking. Paying top dollar one should be allowed to savor it and enjoy the experience.

I visited with my family on new year eve after I was given a voucher for my 40th birthday. Greeted really well at reception and was served by a couple of different waiters or were really friendly and personable. Waited a while to order food and then was told towards the end of the meal we had 20 minutes left on our table so would need to order desert quickly. Declined to order dessert as didn’t want to be rushed, was told the chef would let us order if we wanted to? Spoiled a lovely meal if I’m being honest.

We are regulars at this restaurant (whenever there is an offer as the a la carte is beyond our means). Today was hands down the best meal we have had at the restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere was impeccable. The portions seemed larger than before, the steak was perfectly cooked and flavoursome and the chips were to die for. We didn’t have wine (only the cocktail that came with the seasonal menu) and to be honest that was delicious and enough alcohol for the day time. This kept the cost down and meant that the only real criticism I have with hawksmoor (the wine list) was redundant. Loved. It. Every member of staff was just lovely. Happy new Year!

Would highly recommend Hawksmoor. The food is insane overall. The prawn cocktail was small for the price and average in taste and presentation. The main dishes were great and large portions. Steak was one of the best I've had. Only major feedback would be around the price for drinks. Small cans of beer and cider are £7.50 which is ridiculous especially for the size of them. Wine was really overpriced too which stopped us getting a bottle.
