Located in the heart of Gramercy in the restored Assembly Hall of the landmarked United Charities Building, Hawksmoor is a steak restaurant that celebrates all-natural, pasture-reared, and traditionally dry-aged beef. Our beef is seasoned simply with sea salt and cooked over live-fire charcoal. Our seafood is locally and sustainably sourced from northeastern waters and we use small-farm produce whenever possible. On Sunday afternoons Hawksmoor keeps with the tried-and-true British tradition and features a Sunday Roast.

Completing our offerings are award-winning cocktails, including New York City's coldest martini, and a carefully curated wine selection. The restaurant houses 150 in the dining room and 35 in the bar area. There are also two private dining rooms that can hold 12 people and serve exclusive, family-style menus.

Sunday Roast

Sundays at Hawksmoor are all about our Sunday Roast: all-natural, dry-aged, slow-roasted Rump served with crispy beef dripping potatoes, Caraflax cabbage and carrots, gigantic Yorkshire puddings, lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy and the option for a side of cauliflower cheese or slow-roasted bone marrow and onions. Sunday Roast dates back to the 15th century where large joints of meat were roasted on a spit over an open fire; to achieve a similar flavor, we start ours on our charcoal grill and finish them in the oven. Many who've had a Sunday Roast equate it to a Thanksgiving dinner – a comforting, filling meal that is best in the company of loved ones. And, should a Bloody Mary, or two, be consumed alongside it, who are we to judge?

Totaal overgewaardeerd. De lucht circulatie is zo slecht dat als je rib eye 14oz halverwege het eten koud is geworden. Geen aandacht van het personeel. Prijs kwaliteit mbt ambiance en personeel totaal uit verhouding.

Great room and accommodating staff made for an awesome dinner. Martinis were on point and the steaks, oysters and sliders were delicious.

Very nice staff. Ceaser salad dressing was tasteless despite all ingredients being of the best quality. Chateaubrion was excellent while the prime rib at 110 dollars with tax and tip was small and had the consistency cardboard as though it was left over from the night before and heated in a microwave. Think Holiday Inn in the Midwest.

Food was great! Service was too! Ari was our server and he was delightful! Can’t wait to go back. Live in the neighborhood so it’s nice to be so close

Its an OK English steakhouse which people will either love or hate. Fantastic location and ambiance. Under staffed and value is average.

I had the pleasure of dining at Hawksmoor NYC last night, and it was nothing short of exceptional! The shrimp cocktail was so delicious that we had to order a second round. The filet mignon was absolutely amazing—cooked to perfection—and the lobster tail was equally flawless. The house wine paired beautifully with the meal, enhancing every bite. While the sides were on the smaller side, they were packed with flavor and complemented the main dishes wonderfully. To top it all off, dessert was the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic meal. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. I would rate this experience a solid 10/10 and highly recommend this steakhouse to anyone looking for a memorable meal!

Decided to sit in bar area and had the 3 course prix fix and everything was delicious, had the Yorkshire pudding app and then fish and chips, and the rhubarb pie, definitely will go back
