   The atmosphere is always great but the service and food -- not always. Yesterday we received great service until the 4pm shift change, and then not. The soups were great and my friend enjoyed the shrimp, but Meatloaf #9, not so good. I'd prefer to have my meat and potatoes separate instead of on top of one another. Finally, the ice cream was good but the cheese cake was awful. Is it so hard to simply offer a normal slice of cheesecake instead of that cow patty?

   The bread served with the prime rib dip was hard as a rock. We asked to have our spinach dip and lavash wrap and the bus person for the tables threw it out! When we told the waitress about it she said sorry she doesn’t understand English. When we told her the bread was hard as a rock she told us sometimes it comes out good and sometimes it doesn’t. Been going there for many years but will not be back

   Houlihans in Farmingdale is the greatest! We always have a nice experience with their servers since they are all super friendly towards me and my family! The manager Ayman and Asst Manager Ray are so very kind and wonderful in every way! I def recommend calling the restaurant directly for a reservation thought and don’t use Open Table. Once they gave me a “warning” message when I was sick and couldn’t attend the reservation. Omg! Wow! Can you imagine?! I’m not using them ever again but you should def go to Houlihans and have great food!

   Granted it was New Year’s, but it was absolutely terrible. We had a reservation for seven and didn’t get seated until 730. Everyone was complaining about the service as we walked through the tables. There was only one bartender and it took half an hour for them to tell us that they didn’t have the kind of wine we wanted, even though it was on the menu. We started with two soups and it took that half an hour to come. Lukewarm at best, but I wasn’t sending it back because we were hungry. The waitress kept saying to everybody that the kitchen was backed up. I think that’s something they should’ve told us when we first came in. Half an hour after the soups the meal showed up. It was OK. Not great. It took a long time to get the check because the waitress was having a laughing conversation with another table for 10 minutes. I had to go over to her and asked for the check. Then when the check came, she charged us for the wine that they did not have and so we had to wait a while before she was able to take that off. It took over two hours to get served food that wasn’t good and pay for a meal that was horrible. I will never go there again

   Enjoyed NYE at Hooli's with mom. Was their usual 3 course dinner and it is very filling. Start with stuffed mushrooms, surprisingly tasty. Meatloaf is large plate and always very good then ended with very dark espresso choc cake. The ice cream made it delish
