   Small little local Hayes Valley Italian place. Rustic Italian food, made by real Italians. It was about a 15 min walk to the War Memorial. Fast service made it good for pre-event dinner.

   A charming small restaurant. Excellent Italian food. We were a party of 4 and all ordered different meals. We shared everything, too good not to share. An unexpected pleasure. If we had been in a small town in Italy, we would be telling tales of our discovery.

   Small neighborhood restaurant with mediocre food, with exception of great bruschetta, great service and warm atmosphere.

   Hadn’t been there in 15 years and the menu and decor were exactly the same. Could really use an update. With two noisy groups there, we couldn’t even hear ourselves think. Waiter said nothing other than taking the order and grunting. At 7pm you couldn’t order pizza - they ran out. Food taste and quality just ok, below average for SF. With so many choices around SF for good Italian I wouldn’t go back to this place.

   The pizza was assembled in authentic Italian style, but uses an American-style crust. Very good salad. It's a small place with poor acoustics and filled with boisterous people, so we could barely converse. The service was pleasant, although not overly attentive.

   The food is excellent and chef is happy to accommodate special dietary needs. Everything looks delicious and fresh. Loved my salad and special request salmon dinner. Fellow diners raved about the pasta dishes. Very warm and welcoming environment. Great casual friendly restaurant in Hayes Valley.

    The experience was reminiscent of eating at a village restaurant in Volterra, Italy. No nonsense service delivered without any banter, delicious food, generous portions, and quiet cozy atmosphere. The bread was some of the best ever: crispy crust with a super soft and flavorful middle, and can be dipped in a very tasty olive oil and lovely balsamic vinegar. The standard chianti was wonderful and paired well with the scrumptious vegetable lasagnetta. Every aspect of this meal and experience was a 5-star: would definitely visit again.
