Great dinner as usual. The host was very acomodating, our waiter was the best with a fun sense of humor . The food is always top notch

I have been eating at Il Mulino for over 40 years and for the first time left disappointed. The quality and the quantity of the food was substandard when compared to the high bar Il Mulino has established over the years. The only category that showed an uptick was the pricing which would not be an issue if the food had kept pace. I can only hope that this was the exception and not the rule.

We love this restaurant and frequent it very often. It’s always consistently good and the staff and Eddie the manager are terrific.

We arrived on time for our reservation- we were a party of 3 and waited approx 15 min past it to be seated at a very small booth type set up (with benches but luckily table could be moved)- my husband is a big and tall guy 6’3” so he had to sit alone on one side- 3 young petite girls were seated at same time as us in a large round booth that could accommodate 5-6- a more experienced hostess would realize the issue- the small table was probably a message from a higher power to not order too much- my husband wanted to try a bunch of things since we hadn’t been back in a few years but I said no way- there’s no room! We could barely fit the 3 appetizers (2 orders lamb lollipops, large salad) on the table with our cocktails, sparkling waters and wine- the waiter wasn’t too friendly but luckily all the dishes we ordered (lasagne, rigatoni ala vodka, rigatoni Saporiti) were very good. My parents and I used to come to Il Mulino since late 80’s- it was one of the few restaurants that could accommodate large family of 8 kids- since this latest renovation updated decor I’m unsure if it can accommodate such a large group- but we will visit again because the food was good and that’s the most important part!

Food was so good! We had the lamb lollipop appetizer, chicken Parmesan for one entree and the steak on the daily special door enter #2 and the Nutellini for dessert. Or server was on top of it and we had a very enviable evening.

Food was very good. Service was unfortunate. Not seated until 30+ mins after our reservation time. Server seemed like he was at the end of a long double shift. Never offered us refills on cocktails we brought from the wait at the bar. Never offered water, only brought parm and red pepper after being asked. Food was delayed because "kitchen lost ticket." From arrival to exit, over 2 hrs.
