Located in Downtown Danville, Incontro Ristorante offers Italian cuisine from all the regions of Italy. We offer signature dishes like our famous gnocchi, lasagna, comfort food and more as well as daily specials. We offer upscale casual indoor dining in the historic Hartz House and outdoor dining in our garden patio. You can enjoy live music on the patio during the dry months. The word Incontro means encounter, signifying the coming together of family and friends in a lovely and family friendly atmosphere while dining and enjoying wine from Italy and California. Our indoor and outdoor full bar offers classic and signature cocktails. House made Focaccia is served with your meal. All our sauces and desserts are made in house. We offer brunch buffet on Sundays (except holidays) and lunch on Saturdays. Parking is easy in our private parking lot off of Railroad Avenue.

My wife had the osso buco and I had the short rib special. Both were delicious. We had the Montepulciano wine which complimented the entrees. The staff is attentive, caring with good senses of humor.

The food here is like everything else at Incontro, adequate. Nothing special or memorable but nothing sub par. The service was a bit lacking with only one waiter and not enough attention. The noise level was louder than normal as there were two tables with babies and another with someone who couldn’t stop coughing. Overall there are better Italian restaurants in Danville so explore your options.

One of our party has been here many times. Everyone was very pleased with dinner. I had gnocchi. Tried the salmon. Pork chop was said to be amazing. Highly recommend.

The service was good and the ambiance is nice, but the food was just meh. I had the lasagna and it was very sweet. Too much carrot in the bolognese. My friend had the penne special with sea bass, and there was barely any fish, it was cut up in small pieces and was fishy tasting indicating it was not fresh.

Overall food is ok but in my perspective, overpriced. We had the Arancini and the Mushroom Polenta for starters. Both were good. For main we had the Carbonara, which was not a real Carbonara. It had onions in it and the egg ( if it was there at all) was not creamy. We also had the Pesto Papardelle, which was not exciting at all. They added shrimp to the dish to maybe justify the $29 it costs. Probably, we are not coming back

This was the best dinning experience we’ve had in over 6years ! From the welcoming,serving,the food ::)) not to mention how great the manager Monique was ! I would most definitely recommend and go back thanks Best restaurant in town;)

My Incontro experience is about thr food. Osso Bucco is a Our experience at Incontro food wise was very disappointing. If you know and love Itallian food, (I am a hobby chef) Osso Buco is veal shank braised then slow cooked in juices, spices, not a huge lamb shank served in a red sauce. Waiter assured me it was traditional veal style Buco. C;mon! The eggplant parmaesan was nothing close to how it should or can be prepared. Was just thin slices of eggplant stacked on top of each other in a thin wine type sauce something like a chunk of lasagna. Couldn't finish it to slimy. Creamy polenta which I love, started to solidify within a few minutes developing a very weird heavey kind of cheese flavor. Neither of us finished our dinners and won't return. And way over priced for the dish. Sorry, you asked for a review so that is it.

There are many styles of cooking, especially Italian food. We aim to create a sampling of cuisine from different regions of Italy. We had a great experience for my dad's 90th birthday- wanted accommodations for a quieter space and the manager was so gracious! The food was spectacular- the value was great with large portions, so we had a scrumptious meal. My dad had a hankering for veal parmesan, they made it happen and it was fabulous. This was our third great experience there... so wanted to share it with you- highly recommend!

Food was excellent from the faccachia to the appetizers (polenta, bruschetta) to the main courses (spaghetti & meatballs, eggplant Parmesan, and more) to the desert (tiramisu, chocolate cake). Gerard was a great waiter. Place was very busy and could be quite loud, but that is not the fault of the restaurant but of the patrons. Will definitely return, this is our Italian go to now.
