    We were so disappointed with afternoon tea at the Ivy. There were three of us and you would expect to get the same number and choice of cakes / sandwiches ect. There were two fruit scones which were actually the best part of the experience but I had to share one. There was also four very small plain scones that were not great. The rest of the food was bland and the bread was slightly stale. Fillings not particularly nice. The restaurant inself was stunning but music was really loud. The manager offered us a free drink which we declined but got anyway which was ok but can't understand why a restaurant of this class can't get an afternoon tea right. Also waited an hour for it to arrive.

    Venue is really well laid out. Drinks were excellent and the food portions are good for the price.

    The interior decor was excellent and has kept with the previous Ivy Brasseries we have visited around the country with its own slant on its Liverpool location, some impressive trees looking life like within the restaurant. The food lived up to expectations and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was very good and people had made an effort to dress up and have a good night out celebrating.

    We were here celebrating our valentines meal and we had Luca as our server. He was a delight and super sweet and helpful. The food was amazing, would recommend the fishcake and shepherds pie. However the sticky toffee pudding lasted all of 3 minutes… safe to say that was the highlight! Will definitely be returning :)

    The gent behind the bar gave me the dregs from the monkey 47for which I didn’t get a full measure The girl who waited on ordered me a gin & slimline tonic The waitress took it of the bill as it took so long When she eventually gave me it it was a full fat tonic with no straw To be fair to the waitress it was busy but she didn’t put the points on my bill !!!!!

    I’m a huge IVY fan and have been since visiting the original Covent Garden location many, many moons ago. I have always found the standard of food and service to be consistently good despite the various locations I have visited. For the first time I was on the verge of asking the service charge to be removed (£38 on a £348 bill so not a small amount!). The service really was shocking which I really didn’t expect, especially in Liverpool where I have spent so much time and love the city. We were greeted well and shown to our table. The waitress greeted us shortly after and asked if we would like some water for the table and were given menus. Water arrived shortly after, we made our food choices and ordered some fizz and a bottle of white. When the wines arrived they were poured then taken away to be chilled somewhere else, not a problem initially. Starters arrived and were the usual good quality however, from this point…. We were on our own! The whole tables glasses were now empty and as we had no access to our wines they stayed so for some time. I was continually trying to catch somebody’s eye and was growing increasingly embarrassed at my guest’s empty glasses. In the end one of my guests went to find the ice bucket which was apparently located near another table. He rescued us with some drinks. The mains arrived after a further unattended period, no apologies for the wait or staff desertion. Food again was good and again the waiting staff were no more. The situation continued through the ordeal of trying to order desert before the final insult of one of my guests having to walk around the restaurant to locate someone to allow me to pay the bill. Sadly I did the typical British thing of not asking for the service to be removed. I so wish I had. This was so not what I would have expected at an Ivy. The final act of the evening was our group leaving, sadly not having made any complaints about the service without so much as a thank you or goodbye from the staff!

    Wow what an amazing night from start to finish staff were amazing so lovely from the greet to the Waitors everyone was so friendly and helpful , a lovely young lady took us on a tour which made the night even better it’s absolutely beautiful inside , the food was delicious and you get alot considering we went for the 3 course special we loved everythink the crem brûlée was the nicest I have ever had . We can,t wait to go back fabulous that’s all we can say .

    We had a lovely birthday meal at the Ivy Liverpool. Gorgeous building and lovely decor. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Loved our food. Can’t wait to return.
