    Delicious food that you really can’t find anywhere else. Wonderful, friendly service. Very good value with most main dishes priced at about $9 US. Definitely the place to visit if you’re in Cozumel.

    We’d gone there for a cooking class a couple of days earlier and were eager to try out their versions of several authentic Mayan dishes they taught us to make. Ours were pretty good, mostly because Chef Juan was a fine teacher. Theirs were exquisite.

    Lovely food and service. Be prepared that the main protein in most of the dishes is pork. The tortillas are absolutely different from any other tortilla. You can tell that the food is prepared in very authentic traditional Mayan ways. The drinks are also unique delicious and interesting. Highly recommend.

    We visit Ix Kool each time we visit Cozumel. The cooking classes are fun and the food and drinks (non-alcoholic) served during the class give you a wide variety of taste of Mayan food and drink. The class is just the right mix of interactive cooking and eating food prepared by the chef. The staff at this restaurant are the nicest people you will ever meet. We look forward to our visits to Cozumel so we can visit Ix Kool.

    If you want Mexican food you can get in the US go to Senior Froggy but if you want amazing, unique tasty local food don’t miss this restaurant during a visit to Cozumel.

    Great meal and drinks. Enjoyed the authentic dishes. The octopus and pork were especially good as was the lime soup. See you next year!
