I made reservations a month or two in advanced only to find upon my arrival that my table was assigned to another group. Hostess didn't say much or apologized....Not cool!

                                                                                                      I enjoy Jackson’s not only for the food but also for the scenery. The food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent. The view overlooking the water can’t be beat. It has become a favorite stop when I visit the area.

                                                                                                      Our server, Andy, appeared to be overwhelmed. I asked my sister & brother-in-law to meet us at Jackson's and they drove out from Orlando. I'm sorry they came that far. Our drink order took 20 minutes as only 1 of the 2 bars were open on a busy Sunday. There were, what appeared to be, a few managers walking around and someone could have opened the inside bar which was closed at 2 when we got there or they could have helped with dinner orders. My dinner was a Cuban benedict and it was cold, a small piece of Cuban bread, one small poached egg and it lacked flavor. I had an eggs benedict breakfast this morning at Maple Street Biscuit Company and it was 10 times better than my meal yesterday at Jackson's. The online photos make the restaurant look upscale but it's anything but upscale. More like a shorts and t-shirt place. My husband had the espresso martini and it looked like a glass of chocolate milk. Not made properly. I suggested the restaurant to everyone and I'm embarrassed that we went there. Not sure if we'll go back. And this was for an after Christmas get-together. Not worth the drive from Sarasota or Orlando.
