Stopped here only because we were in the area and this place had fairly high ratings. Eating here had made me realize that pasta is inherently becoming this exuberantly overpriced food. The idea of hand-rolled, homemade, etc. pasta doesn’t garner a plate or bowl of pasta to cost $45. It had shaved truffle on it that had no flavor. It was supposed to have sausage in it, but I think they added my portion to my wife’s plate. Overall it was in no way worth $93 for a small loaf of ciabatta, two bowls of pasta, and two tap waters.

Food was outstanding, server was very friendly and made us feel comfortable. Food came out quickly and tasted delicious. The hostess were awful. We had a reservation and they seated at least 3 parties ahead of us and made us wait for over half an hour.

The food at Jame has consistently been excellent… I’ve been going since it was a very small store front when they had the Cuban restaurant where Japonica is now. It’s always packed and has the atmosphere of the “it” restaurant of the moment… it’s hit and miss on the service. My last meal there even after having a reservation on a Wednesday night was not very pleasant. The hostess seemed lost and we ended up at the bar with 2 other couples. It took 15 minutes to even be acknowledged and given menus. The plus is that after a review I left on another platform, the manager did call me the next day to offer a round of drinks on my next visit. I’m hopeful that they will hit their stride and service will complement the excellent food there.

Jame exceeded all expectations! From the inviting ambiance to the impeccable service and exceptional food, every detail was spot on. The meatballs, kale salad, and scarpinocc were absolute standouts. Can’t recommend it enough!

I had been to Jame several times before and the food was fine - not outstanding, but decent for a local Italian restaurant. My wife and I ordered angel hair pasta with bolognese sauce. The sauce was bland, almost flavorless, and the pasta was severely overcooked and mushy to the point that we wondered if it was leftover from the previous day. I also ordered a Manhattan that came out a very light tea color and was watery. The service was perfunctory. As an example, we had to ask for Parmesan cheese for the pasta and we were given a small ounce sized partially filled cup. From the last time we were there, they had expanded and had raised their prices. Both are fine and the prices are still reasonable. However, the food and service need to keep up. Unfortunately, from our recent experience, they have work to do.

Sandwiches were very tasty, but came with no sides. The waiter kindly gave us four separate checks as requested, for our party of 7, but the service was slow.

you guys should really clean up the outside area. i understand you took over the adjacent locations, but for outside diners, it affected the ambiance. food and service was fantastic, so it was still a very pleasurable experience in all.
