Located in South Hadley’s Village Commons, across the street from Mount Holyoke College, Johnny’s Bar & Grille has been serving up delicious food and drinks since 2006.
Johnny’s prides itself on food quality, our menu is marked by an eclectic mix of culinary influences. From our fresh ground Angus burgers to our daily dinner specials. Entrees include our homemade mac and cheese, fresh baked haddock and Thai chicken sambal pasta. In warmer weather, have a seat on our outdoor patio and wash down any one of our signature dishes with a cold drink and live music.

For our family, "Johnny's Bar & Grille" in South Hadley is like the TV show, "Cheers." Because we are regulars, all the waitstaff not only knows our names, but they go out of the way to make us feel like we are truly part of a family--the good side of the family :) They hold the front door open for my elderly (90's) mom and dad and celebrate every birthday lunch with us by bringing flowers to the table, complimentary desserts and sometimes they even get together and sing. The food is consistently outstanding and reasonably priced. The service is among the best I've seen. Above all, the atmosphere is super positive. All the waitstaff seem happy and professional and warm. Again, it's a very family friendly place that our family will return to week after week.

Nice family gathering for dinner. Lots of good food choices for children and adults. Our server, Hannah, was terrific!!

Love Johnny’s. Never have had a bad experience there. Unfortunatly, last night visit was quite disappointing. We felt rushed. Not given a drink menu, or a daily special menu when seated. The waitress grabbed it while we were ordering, I ordered the spring roll appetizer, and the special bbq chicken salad. I order the spring rolls every time I’m there. They were served undercooked. The chicken in my salad was so over cooked, or over-held it was chewy. The noise level was extremely high, and the music volume didn’t help. To sum it up, unhappy with the service as well as the food.

We were able to be seated early for a 7 pm reservation, and we had a great server. We were seated on the bar side, which was a bit noisy, and also it was cold, and a few of the diners remained chilly for the first half of our visit. Next time I will ask for a table in the front room, where I think it would be warmer and a little cozier.
